Thanks...... Congrats to the Wildcats. We(Bath) got beat twice by the Cav's in the ACME state finals in Piqua many years ago. I'm sure some on here remember. Go Wildcats !!!!!

That's not true. Lima Bath won the State ACME tournament in 2003. They lost their first round game (not sure if it was to Coldwater) but Bath beat Coldwater on a walk off homer I believe in the losers bracket final before beating Defiance twice for the title.

Knowing coach, mac, I'm guessing he was prolly talking pre-2000. (at least!)

Don't think Coach Rhoades was talking about the 2003 State Tournament. I believe he was referring to the 1985 ACME State Tournament.

Gotch ya!! The State ACME was also held in Piqua in 2003, the year Lima Bath won it all!

They lost the first game in EVERY round that year. Talk about being on pins and needless for the whole tournament!

Boy, I should be eating crow for the comment I made about the PH upcoming baseball season. My apologies to the Pats, who are still playing in the acme tournament. Congratulations to them. And I'll look for the legitamacy of my scouting report (my brother) next time.

Pretty sad coaching by Bath last night. A Bath player struck out and on his way back to the dug out threw his bat over the top of the dugout. The kid was not tossed nor did the Bath coach bench his player. By the way, Bath was winning 9-1 when this happened.

I saw the game last night. Didn't look intentional - just looked like bad judgment and a stupid mistake. Looked like he tried to flip the bat to the dugout and held on too long. Stupid, yes, but let's not blow it out of proportion.

Intentional or not, it doesn't matter. It happened and he should have been punished for it. A bat flying over the dugout itsn't a situation where you can just say "oops, that wasn't intentional." Someone could have been seriously injured by that bat, thank god someone wasn't. I was just disappointed in the Bath coaching staff for sending him back out on the field.

Congratulations to the Wildcats for a great tournament!! To start the season the way they did (1-5) and finish as 1 of the last 4 teams playing is incredible. This team showed a lot of heart & determination. Hopefully this momentum will carry over to football.
