Just wondering what we can expect in this game from Patrick Henry? Anybody with some insight? Do they have a stud pitcher? Do they flat-out hit? Defense? With their record I would guess that they do a litle bit of everything well, but would like to know what to expect when I see them on Friday.

The little I have seen of them this year, they do everything well. Run the bases, hit, and have a deep pitching staff. They can throw 5 arms at you, but I believe the entire team is right handed. I could be wrong. They have a couple kids getting interests from D1 schools.

Very solid from top to bottom. We played them three times this year and they are very fundamentally sound on defense. They have four batting over 400 and only one under 300. Pitching is strong with no real stud. Botjer is who you will probably face and he is 11-1 I think. I know he only has one loss. He throws in upper 80's with good curve ball and change. Team is 26-3. Coach Inselmann is a very detail oriented coach so they do all the little things. Very aggressive on the base paths.

Ober...Which of PH's ballplayers are getting interest from D1 schools?...Big news for a DIV school...if such is the case.

Not Patrick Henry, that's the norm over there. Don't forget there coach was at Defiance for 10 - 15 years before going to PH. PH is also one of them schools that slip back and forth from D3 and D4.

I'm not gonna talk specifics, but trust me when I tell you that. PH has had a couple Baseball players go D1 recently. Marc Krauss was Freshman of the year in the MAC last year and First Team MAC this year at Ohio U and Tyler Meyer ( I think, maybe Trent) went to Toledo. PH is finally starting to get the D1 college recruiters to notice them, with Baseball and Football players that will be playing D1 colleg ball.

I noticed someone saying that they (PH) are very aggressive on the base paths? I think if Patrick Henry relys on stealing bases to win games they may be in trouble. Loramie has a catcher that has a D1 arm. Plus if they (Ft. L) throw the guy who I am pretty sure will start he has a very quick delivery. It is very very hard to swipe a base off of them (trust me I know). Which means Patrick Henry has to get some hits in a row to score because like Patrick Henry Loramie is also known as a very fundametally sound team. They are very very well coached. They are back for the second year in a row after losing two guys who went to D1 schools. Jared Hoying freshman short stop for Toledo. Also Jordan Goldscmidt freshman at Eastern Kentucky I believe. So D1 prospect/recruits are not so unfamiliar in Loramie either. My opinion if #2 and #3 hitters do nothing for Loramie they will go home. If they have big games then Loramie wins. Regardless of what happens I think the Loramie baseball team has had an outstanding season. You really have to take your hat off to Coach Bill Sturwold. I said on here before the season if he wins the league and some tourney games this guy walks on water and guess what??? I went fishing last weekend at Lake Loramie and guess who I saw!!

Good Luck Redskins!!

I didn't say that PH stole bases...I said they were aggressive. They look to turn a single into a double on every hit. Didn't see them straight steal much at all...see ya at the game. Go Patriots

Patriots took this game 9-2. They had control from the 1st inning. The FL Catcher never reached base. In fact it looked like FL gave up in the 6th inning, especially the catcher. A ball bounced no more then ten feet away from him and he walked over to it while the PH base runner on third came home and didn't even have to slide.

Way to go Patriots...next up is Hiland.

FL 2 4 4
PH 9 12 2

why question a high school kid in a state semi game. he is a good player leave the bs out of it.typical arrogance from you. Hiland wins it all on saturday

I couldn't have said it any better BOB. Thanks.

The aggressive baserunning out of PH showed in this game. The first two runs of the game were scored on a fly ball to Loramie's right fielder. There were runners on first and third and neither one of them initially tagged. But the throw that came in was not handled and the runner on third came in to score and the runner that was on first scored on the play as well as Loramie threw the ball around. There were two other plays in the game where PH runners took the extra base and they were bang-bang plays that went their way. They were the aggressors all game and made good things happen for themselves. Loramie had an uncharacteristic five errors (I think there were five, at least four) which were forced by the baserunning of Patrick Henry.

Congratulations to Loramie as they made a run that was unexpected. The well is not dry...today's lineup - freshman at third, sophomores at SS, second, first, and center, juniors in right and DH. Thanks to the seniors, there's no doubt you've got some incredible memories.

Good Luck to Patrick Henry.

I agree, Unnecessary comments like that make me wanna root for Hiland.

What ever happened to "Winning with Class"? Instead of spouting off the, "We Dominated & they gave up" bit?

Not being arrogant, as Ft Loramie is obviously a very good team, and they won the championship last year. But I would say something about our players if they had done that. Stitch, if you were at the game you know the play I'm talking about. There wasnt even an attempt made to get the ball and tag the runner coming from 3rd. I'm all about players playing till the end and have been critical on our teams on other sites. I hope he goes on to a D1 school and doesvery well.

Jacket...were is it said that PH dominated? Go ahead and route for Hiland, makes no difference to me.

Yeah...Hardly...thats why one of our guys got his leg broke half way thru the 4th quarter! What a stupid comment. Were you at the game yeaterday? No one can say I am wrong about that play. He didnt even make an attempt to tag the PH runner out at home, and the ball only got 10 feet away from him. come on!

ober...I know you are a fan but you really need to remove foot before engaging mouth...and BOB, your comment was also totally out of line...If you have a beef with ober you don't take it out on kids...total lack of class on both your parts!!!

Not all / hardly any PH'ers are arrogant but this oberhaus kid, please don't judge PH'ers from him. It's not fair to the rest of us. I know a lot of them came to this board to get away from him, and like a bad taco he just follows you around generally only during any tournament run.

As for PH seniors getting D1 looks, following the baseball program through the entire year, I know of 1 kid who got a D1 look but through binoculars!
As for the past, Marc Krauss is playing at Ohio U. and will probably be drafted one day, Mike Inneslman played at Toledo. I don't know what Meyer he is talking about?

Ober, no one likes someone that just runs their mouth, so don't, represent the school you some what follow in a positive way.
