When does your conference release it's all league teams? The Green Meadows Conference votes on theirs either tomorrow or Monday. They won't be released until the last league team is beat out of tournament. thumbup1.gif

its not about pleasing anyone. That is the problem. Its about getting it right. A kind who is hitting .370 and has almost 100 Ks. A horse for a team that is still in the tourny. A kid that is hitting .340 hitting in the middle of a very shallow line up, doesnt get any consideration. You tell me some of the players on the conference team are more deserving. I think not.

Sometimes, unfortunately, it comes down top how well a coach "sells" his players at the vote !

So, doesn't that translate to"YOU" not being pleased? rolleyes.gif

Does anyone know how the all leagues are selected? I know the coaches vote, but how does the voting break down?

Looking at the All WBL First Team, something jumped out at me;

Six pitchers???? Three of the six finished in the lower third of the league standings. Certainly, there were a couple of outfielders around the league that performed at the level worthy of First Team. Just my opinion.

Coaches nominate players from their teams and then inform the other coaches as to why he/she thinks those players are deserving of all-league honors. Then the coaches all vote. Only the top couple of players from any one team are going to get much recognition. That's not to say there aren't other good players on a team, but they're not all going to get voted onto an all-league team. Every coach wishes he could get more players on the team. But, it's just not going to happen. There's only so many spots available and coaches try to honor someone from each team. So, that makes for some unhappy people sometimes. That's life, I guess.

Well put dawgbone, that is pretty mutch how it goes, but you left out one thing. The team or teams that win the conference usually get more people on total, 1st ,2nd or honorable mention, and LCC and Paulding only got 3 each. While jefferson and crestview got 5 and 6 guys on. Like putty said, rocha hit over 400 and didnt get anything, that to me should have got a little something, but thats just me.
