Basically two team races for both the boys and girls. On the boys side, P-G had some really nice runners in all the events. The Spallinger kid is pretty nice. To end a streak of 18 years should be commended. Congratulations P-G!!! Also Congrats to Columbus Grove for 18 years of success. What a run!!!!

On the girls side, the Lady Green showed that they are a team on the rise and will be contended with for years to come. With only one senior who socred for them last night and a Junior High team that won the PCL this past Wed., this will be the start of some tough teams in the next few years. Grove took care of the sprints and the sprint relays, but too much depth from the Lady Green in all the events as they place one or two pretty high in all the events. Congrats to the Lady Green on their first PCL since the 80's if I'm not mistaken. You deserve it. And congrats to the Lady Bulldog on a terrific run. It looked like you weren't at full stregnth last night but I'm not sure it would have mattered.

Ottoville girls got alot of support from this year's Freshman class. Shayla Siefker, Tasha Kaufman, Kari Beining, Jamie Rieger, Gayle Rayman, Brooke Bendele, Rachelle Bendele, and Katrina Beining. Other Freshman girls provided points during the regular season but did not participate in the county meet. With the graduation of only 2 seniors, the Lady Green track team will be very good in the future. Congratulations Girls on the Putnam County Championship !!!

And their 8th graders could fill in some weak(?) spots for next year, like a sprinter and a long jumper. They also have a couple of nice hurdlers coming up again. They'll be strong for the next couple of years if they all come out.

Congratulations Big Green. Siefker's performance was stunning, she won the 1600 then came back with a 1:00.8 400. Coach Vaughn Horstman did an excellent job of maxing out the points. As a side note Grove scored 6 more points than last year. That's how tough Ottoville is this year. Believe me, no matter how it looked Grove was at full strength and will not make excuses.
