Miraculously, I mean. As opposed to...miraculaously.

All this talk of domination yet, strangely or maybe even miraculaously, NCOSA teams manged to do quite well against PCL teams.

Well thats because the NCOSA usually has players like a Spangler or Hurrera....and thanks for the Kalida correction, I realized that almsot as soon as I had posted it, and by the way REQ....welcome back!!

Look at the age of their players compared too the other PCL teams. Ottoville and Kalida were both Senior dominated teams with some Junior starters, and they ended up being the best, Miller City, who gave up a good fight against both had something like seven sophmores starting for them....They play in a very competitive league....Ft Jennings, who I think will be good this year will be lucky to finsh in the top three in the PCl this season where if they played NCOSA they would be so far and above the next best teams, that its not even funny...

What's funny about if Ft. Jennings played NCOSA teams that they'd be better than everyone else. Hah, wasn't Riverdale supposed to get spanked against Anthony Wayne last year?

People were predicting 4-0, 5-0. They only lost 2-0? And then VB plays Miller City, after a tie with Kalida, and gets spanked 9-1. I don't get the part where NCOSA is 100% weak like you're trying to say.

Ada beat Continental, drew with Ottoville, lost to MC

C-R beat MC, drew Kalida, beat Continental, lost to F-J

Riverdale beat Continental, beat MC, lost to P-G

VB draws Kalida, lost to MC (couldn't think of any other results off the top of my head, no offense VB guys)

Bottom line- HS sports are inconsistent (especially at the DIII level) and anyone can beat anyone else on a given day. Look at the results alone in the PCL last year to see an even more puzzling scenario.

thats last year...this is this year...I am not making predictions based on last year, I am making my predictions based on this year and who has what....You are going to sit there and tell me right now that Ada matches up with Ottoville and Cory matches up with Kalida??? Last year the NCOSA was very competitive but this year, most of the NCOSA studs are gone, meanwhile the PCL boys are, for the most part all back!!! IF, lets say there was still a Hurrera at Cory, a Spangler at VB and a Vogel at Riverdale, then I would probably be saying that the PCL had no chance against the NCOSA teams....but look at both leagues and you tell me, who, THIS year should win the majority of the games....I am not trying to disrespect NCOSA by any means, but look at both of the leagues top to bottom, THIS YEAR, and you tell me who the better league is....because its all fair and good who has done what in the last three or four years but just becuase you are unbeaten against a team over the last ten years does not mean that this year will be the same...I am not saying that NCOSA will be completely hopeless but compared to the PCL, the NCOSA is the lesser league this season. They do have some decent players still in the NCOSA and I do think that some PCL teams will be surprised by them but at this point if I'm a betting man, I am going to take the top PCL teams over the best that the NCOSA has to offer....

Again, was only pointing out that there really is no clear dominant league. My examples from last year were only meant to show that good teams had up & down results against each other. THis is the case every year, in every league professional & amatuer. For crap's sake, Birminham drew Arsenal twice this year! All teams are prone to missteps, especially in HS soccer. I gave up predicting & speculating long ago when it comes to sports.

By the way, Riverdale does have a Vogel & 7 other returning starters from last year's team. But in no way does this garuntee anything.

Would love to get an oppurtunity to play some these teams. And will play some of them at the O-G super scrimmage. Which why I posted our information about the super scrimmage. Like to see more teams get out of their area play other competition from around the state.

I know that other than a tourney game against Fort Jennings that Ada usually had the PCLs number.

Kalida only had 2 senior starters and three seniors total and ottoville only had 4 senior starters so where are the senior dominated teams that you are talking about, and how many seniors did Miller City have last year?
