New Knoxville could be in everyone's top 10, if all their games were at home...

Oops, did I say that?

i'm still confused as to why LB is not in anyones top 10.. i know i'm biased but wow.. how can you possibly have LCC New knoxville and miller city ahead of them?...

regardless of the fact that LB has only played two tough teams.. they are still 6-1-1!.. tied OG who is ranked in the state and Put up a good fight with riverdale.. and beat everyone else by more than 5

oh well just my two cents.. anyone want to tell me how wrong i am? because i'm sure i'm missing something =)

I never had a problem with TC's field. After playing at Ottoville and Van Buren, it was like Crew Stadium.

I hope that you are talking about Ottoville's old field, the crap hole in the park that they played on for many years. If you didn't know, they have been playing on a new field behind the school for the past three years, which is one of the best in the area!

Except Ottoville's field is narrow. Very narrow.

Ottawa Hills beat a good DI Clay on Tuesday 4-1. This team is better than everyone thinks.

Just cause a team beats a team doesn't make them better.

Kalida ties Van Buren, Van Buren loses to MC 9-1.

I always come back to that example. Because you'd think since VB tied Kalida, that they would be pretty decent.

that is very very true you cant tell a team by the record cuz in highschool everyone has so many highs and lows.. no one team is good every game. So what it comes down to is tactics who has the best tactics

No, it comes down to athletes 80% execution 15% and tactics 5%!

I dont know former coach the refs are definately more of a factor in the games this year. Either they refuse to stop forwards from being mugged in the box or they are struggling to get a call right this year ..... I think they might be in the 30% this year heheh

I agreee on your point in the box thumper. I never understood how something that's a foul anywhere else on the field isn't in the box. I'm a referee of some experience & never anywhere have I seen an explanation that says a foul in the penalty area must be 50% harsher to earn a whistle.

Riverdale's Schedule:
@ LIberty Benton
@Kenton
Cory Rawson
ANTHONY WAYNE (anyone else?)
@Mohawk (league game, nothing to be done)
Ada
Continental
@Bluffton
Calvert (league game again)
Fort Jennings
New Knoxville
@ Old Fort (another unavoidable league game)
@Miller City
@ Upper Sandusky (league)
Van Buren
Pandora

Outside of the league they play one of NWO's best DI programs, 4 PCL teams, Liberty Benton, DII inner county rival Kenton, New Knoxville (well coached and no pushover) & Bluffton. Granted, there are some less than mouthwatering games there but can hardly say that's a cupcake fixture list. Discuss.

ada is in their league

I'm also a reff and have done a few games. I just don't see whats so hard about calling a pk! If its a foul its a foul in the box to. I have no problem giving away a pk if its deserved.

im not sure how good clay is and all because they are 3-3-3....thats not so good. but im not sure how good of competition they are playing. i mean if they lost and tied teams that are well over par this year then i guess maybe you can say thats an ok record, but still 3-3-3.......not so hot shrug2.gif

I have never officiated a high school game, but if I did this year, the cards would be flying for the "goon-ball" being played in D3! censored.gif

Sorry to Temple for the record omission...that's my responsibility & I somehow left that bit out. Fridays are very hectic for me at school & when I'm juggling teaching and reporting the info I've been known to drop the ball every now & then. I'm very human & have already apologized to Temple's coach.

10soccer, Clay is 3-3-3 against quality DI teams in Toledo. They play the likes of A-W, Toledo St. Johns, etc. That was all I've based that statement on. Losing 3 games against the likes of those teams is a little different than losing three DIII games. So, O-H's destruction of that team was an indicator, to me that O-H was better than folks were saying. They then lost to a seemingly surging Toledo Christian. Then again, I don't know anything about the sport. Ask anyone.
