OMG! Findlay lol........ Ok obviously u know nothing about club soccer cause the state league is not the toughest league in the state. Have u ever heard of MRL (Midwest Regional League) that is definately the toughest league. Findlay soccer club is like Rec compared to the teams in that.

2) The Midwest Regional League, albeit TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE to participate, is indeed the cream of the crop for not just Ohio but something like 13 states. While the State League is good (with some MRL teams playing, like Pacesetter), the MRL is leaps and bounds above it.
3) We're forgetting also that the level of club ball is much stronger in Ohio South. Ohio North is represented mostly by Cleveland teams with the odd Toledo team poking in every year or so (keeper, I'm a Pacesetter alumni so I'm aware of the quality...but Cleveland has our area beat). Ohio South has Dayton, Columbus and Cincinatti to draw from each city having several top-quality clubs. SO to say that a league from Ohio North is the best in the State is lacking without incorporating Ohio South.

Back to apples and apples. As I clearly said earlier, of course club teams from the toledo area, or any large urban/suburban area, are going to be better than a Findlay club team due to the 5 player per team rule. The talent pool is larger and draws from mostly DI, established and historically strong programs. Apart from Findlay itself, any Findlay club team has to draw from much smaller and relatively newer programs, hence Pacesetter will usually field a stronger team. Having said that, the players from the smaller schools are getting better and better, the only difference is sheer number of players. I watch a lot of DIII soccer, but played at Findlay & Pacestter so I know both worlds, therefore I feel comfortable in saying that these programs are not nearly as bad you think (not even close), in fact many are comparable to OH ( Cory Rawson from the NCOSA beat O-H).
