Dont look for celina to repeat...only 2 seniors and 4 returning letterman. Wapak probably has the best chance along with van wert?? maybe i honestly dont know?

Elida will win theres no doubt about it....... o and they will win it next year too.......... just too much talent and good quality wrestlers........ when they lost earlier in the year to a couple wbl teams they had many voids in those matches...... but i think it will be close at the top this year!!! I haven't heard much talk about O-G wrestling in several years. I thought they used to have some contenders. I used to walk at the high school when the weather was cold or just to dark to walk in the country safely. They seemed to have quite a few conditioning or at practice. Does anybody have an idea on where the program is or where it is going?

They arent the team that they used to be they only got 1 kid who seems to have a chance at districts and thats Jamison Siefker he has already beaten last years state winner in 13 seconds including the count.
I think if he gets in shape and loses a couple more pounds he could really tear it up all the way to state.

his whole family is good though his little brother won jr. high state and got runner up the next year plus his dad coaches wrestling for the jr. high too

Thanks for the update Sapps. Are these Siefkers any relation to Ben Siefker or Corey Siefker? It seems to me these two brothers also had some uncles who were good wrestlers too. Or is this another Siefker family?

I agree Elida will win the WBL. They have some great wrestlers that have been waiting to go all the way. Van Vorhis, Overholt, and Diglia will go far.

Last night Van Wert went 4-0 against Kenton, Celina, Shawnee and Elida!!

imaref...your missing some other kids I do believe as well. Brunk just won the county and looked good. Troyer isn't looking bad either. Overholt in 135...should win league. Fricke in 160. Wittkamp at 189 I heard was looking good until Miller at County. Brunk, Wittkamp wewre both working on things at the Pool tournament and still came out on top.
They will have many kids make some noise at the WBL. Most will finish in top 3 if not have the most for top 2.
atch out for Bath's freshman though. This bunch will be on top I think for the next 2 years..after this year, Elida will be slipping do to numbers after this year. Strong Sophmore class with 2 great Juniors.
Van Wert did fine do to Elida voiding 3 wieght classes and a true freshman at HWT that is still learning. Thats 24 points. Saffle and Moose back in Jan with Cody Green as well. Now Leis is at 145. Voids are almost in the past.
