Will America prevail?
Brian Fantana: That was one crazy party. I am hung over.
Champ Kind: I woke up on the floor of some Japanesse family's living room, and they would NOT stop screaming!
Brick Tamland: I ate a big, red candle.

If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

I think one of the Latin teams will. When it comes to this kind of international stuff they seem to care about winning and representing their countries a little more than the US athletes do.

I was really looking forward to this when it was first anounced. But every day for the last 3 weeks there have been a couple big name players drop out. Pretty soon it will be a Minor league tournament.

Was watching ESPN and they were talking about pitch counts placed on pitchers. should make for some interesting games. A pitcher that does not throw strikes will not last long. The US does have some big names/players. I would like to think that they will make it out of the first 2 rounds of round robin play. If the players really want to win I think they could make it to the finals vs a Latin American team.

I would think that the Us could make it pretty far but then again upsets do happen...

I think USA has a very good chance of winning it and if they don't it will be a disappointment.

They have A-Rod and Derick Jeter. The Dominican Republic has a lot of good players though.

At first i thought the US was going to be the odds on favorites but now having watched alot of Pool A's games I'd have to say that the Japan squad has the best chance.

If i had to make another pick it would have to be one of the southern countries like the dominican or puerto rico.
