I pick manny. He is the best hitter in the mlb and has been for the last 5 years. If you are a fantasy baseball player though pick arod, he will have more sleats, and this year the yankees have a better lineup than the Red Sox.

Although I hate the Yankees, A-rod did win the MVP last year.
Brian Fantana: That was one crazy party. I am hung over.

Manny's one big downfall is that he has a very hard time catching the ball......if he would just DH he would be okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if he DH then ortiz or manny have to go else where, manny won the MVP the year before though....and yes yankees have a better batting lineup because money speaks louder than words...damon going to be a good leadoff hitter and a better middle fielder than bernie

A-Rod, hard to argue that`s he`s the best in baseball right now. If you`re going to start a baseball team I`d bet that most GM`s would pick this guy before anyone else in baseball.

A-Rod is a legit 40-40-120-.300 guy. And he plays/played up the middle. Tough not to take him over Manny...

A-Rod is a tremendous fielder to go along with his superb offensive abilities........I'm not so sure people can say that statement about Manny Ramirez!!!..........IMO, this poll should be a landslide in favor of A-Rod!!!............ cool.gif

Agree with Dawger, A-Rod can actually play defense, and do it great at 2 different positions. Offensively they are about equal. Plus with A-Rod you don't get the "I want traded", "I want to stay I love Boston", "I want traded"

Indeed...though it's a little easier to stay in place when you're winning...Seattle had 1 good year and Texas 0...so you can't blame the guy too much...

And, be honest...252...million...dollars...very persuasive...
