10. Spencerville - Zac Clum(140/145) / Tyler Obringer(HWT)
Top Teams
Not in any order.....
Allen East and Elida are very deep with returning Varsity DQ's and top placers from Allen County Tournament 06'. Elida and Allen East have 4 returning finishing in top 3 from last year.
You never can count Bluffton out by any means. 3 Returning top 3.
Spencerville/Shawnee are fielding a full squad which will help them. Spencerville has 2 returning top 3 placers while Shawnee has 3 returning in top3 and an additional 4 that finished 4th. Shawnee could surprise some people this year.
Bath is very young this year. Not sure if enough horses to get big placement points. 3 Top 3 returning.
Lima Senior/LCC/Jefferson/St. Johns have a couple stand outs and can play some poiler roles by taking out a couple big names from other schools. Lima Senior brings 3 returning top s. LCC brings 0. Jefferson brings 1.
St. Johns brings 2 returning top 3.

Thanks for the info. Hope he has healed up ok.
I truly think realistically you could have approx 15 State Qulifiers at the County tournament this year. We all know it depends on tournament draw and I do agree that there just may be 1 to 2 state Champs.
You also have some nice young talent as well.

With Bluffton and Allen East graduating some key point scorers from last year I believe Lima Bath, or Shawnee will be the only teams to step up and maybe challenge them. Good Luck to the Wildcats and Indians too.

I belive the surprise team this year will be Shawnee. They looked real good at the Elida Pool Tournamet.
I do believe however that it will be Allen East or Elida fighting for the top. I just see them placing more where Team points will count. Wth that said, that is why you take the Mat. The problem occurs that I don't see it by much point difference with the thier of teams below them.
I believe there is only 2 weight classes that is truly locked in for a champion. Stuart Miller from Delphos Jefferson and Zac Clum form Spencerville. Mind you Stuart won't take Dues lightly and Matt will put up a good match with him and I just think Mr. Clum is to solid right now.
The rest is up in the air. Match ups will determine alot. Who will see the other teams stud first and poof....not going for the championship match.
It will be a good day fro wrestling and it is awesome that TV 44 is replaying the finals matches.

130-Hefner (

135-Rayl (BL) over Dues (AE).....possibly weakest weight class
140-Clum (S) over Freeman (BL)
145-DeWitt (DSJ) over Rider (Sh)
152-Caven (LS) over Washam (Sh)
160-Kayatin (LCC) over Green (E)....either best finals match or most boring depending on whose pace they wrestle at
171-Ladd (E) over Boudle (Sh)
189-Miller (DJ) over Wittkamp (E).....miller shows why he is so highly ranked
215-Barnes (S) over Osting (DJ)

I won't get into who I think will win the Chmpionships. My hopes are that Elida has all the Championships. I'm just giving my thoughts on what I have seen and know of these kids.
Alot of Talent in this Tournament this year. It is spread out right now with hopes of winning the title and Alpha wieght.
It will be a good tournament.
103- Hunlock and Wright. All will be surprised though on Merschman(DJ) and Johnston(Bl) Interesting class
112- Don't count out Megan(SP). This weight class isn't too deep and she can hold her own aginst these young men.
119 - Top to bottom the most talented group of kids. This is a hard one to call to be honest. My heart is Brunk(E)...through and through...he has already been battle tested by going up against a couple+ State Qualifiers. Looking at the talent the others have faced(from what I could find) they haven't truly been tested yet. Begg(BL) and Brunk(E) will square off. I think the winner of that match takes the whole enchilada against Merschman(SJ). Sleeper here is Josh Croft(SH). Watch out.
125 - Beemer(BA) and Troyer(E) here. But man oh man..it will be a good match with Troyer and Freeman(AE). But HEY...the sleeper is Shingledecker(LCC).....Keep an eye on him.
130 - Heffner(BA) and NuzumBL). Sifker(DJ) and Heffner should be a good match.
135 - Rayl(BL) and Dues(AE). Not to deep here as a weight class.
140 - One name...CLUM(SP). I do believe it will be Freeman(BL) coming at him.
145 - Dewitt(SJ) and Rider(SH). Not sure who will step up totake one of them. either Bath kid may be able to surprise..Smith or Rummy
152 - This one is tighter than most may know. My heart tells me Washam(SH) and Caven(LS) but Andrews(DJ) is kinda under the radar.
160 - Kayatin(LCC) for sure. Green and herr will be a good match. Hutchinson (AE) is righ there.
171- Ladd(E) and Beau(SH). Not to deep of a class either.
189 - One NAME....MILLER. He will face Dues(AE) in the finals. Yes Miller is the real deal.
215 - Wittkamp(E) and Fields(AE). Entry is wrong. Leis(E) is 189 and Wit is 215.
285- Shorty(SH) and Binkley(SP). Pryer(AE) and Shorty should be a good one though.
