Thinking a bit more about this topic, Edon deserves a pat on the back too! The Bombers have a great stadium and probably have to be ranked right up there behind PH's.

Now now...Its a nice field but I dont think that it is even close to Patrick Henry....this is just my opinion but I think that its hard to match up to Patrick Henrys..

As a former player who has seen many many fields, and now coaching in NW Ohio - I would say (in no particular order) that Patrick Henry and Greenville are two of my 3 favorites. I just want to know ... hasn't anyone been to Bryan? Not only is it a great field, but they know how to "put on a ballgame".

As far as how the ball bounces and plays on a field i dont think Coldwater and PH are as nice as everyone thinks. Coldwater doesn't have enough dirt in the infield causing tough hops and PH cuts the grass too short at times making it easier to get an infield hit. Ive played at Elida before and seemed to get some pretty true bounces. Miller City, Grove, Bath and OG also have sum absolutley terrible infields.

What about Ottovilles infield? Its horrible I have never had so many cuts and scars from any other field but theirs. Why they do use chipped up stone anyways? Can they not afford to make it better?

I would say PH hands down, very well kept, and love the scoreboard. Also Celina could be up there if they get fieldldturf like was rumored.

I played on the Infield at Patrick Henry and got very true bounces. Off course i am use to playing at the worst field in Ohio,, Benton Ridge Community Park Home of the Liberty Benton Eagles !!

My top 3 that i have play on

Patrict Henry
Flag City Memorial
Columbus Grove (Very well kept, they have a rake for every player after the game and where still raking 25 min after the end)

what about fields in the BVC.. I have seen every one and IMO i like Cory-Rawsons the best.. I like the all grass in-field with the dirt around the bases and i think its a nice size for high-school.. it is also nice with the trees planted right outside the outfield fence... Arlington also doesnt have a bad field... Liepsics kinda dissaponted me.. it was surronded by mud... As for the worst field its a 3 way tie for me between L-b, Vanlue, And Van Buren.. while van buren has great dug outs.. their outfield is horrible.. i think everyone knows about the benton ridge field and vanlue is just bad.. they had pretty much a 10 foot high mound with 3 foot high fences... id liek to see what everyone else thinks about the BVC fields and who they think has the best all around diamond...

The best 3 fields that are top notch are st.henry, coldwater and minster.
Fort Recovery really needs to tear theres down and start all over. The infield is probly the worst in the Mac and the outfield isnt much better. It has no drainage system and is flooded half the time. Last year we had to get sponges and shop vacs and 5 bags of diamond dry just for homeplate alone. And its not like we cant afford it its just that our athletic director doesnt care about baseball. She wont give us any money. She does care about softball though, lets see 3 years ago a new softball diamond was built and we already have 3 that could be used. And when she comes to the games all she does is complain. She spends money for all other sports but shows no love to baseball.

Bath is improving their softball and baseball diamonds. Their softball facility has to be one of the best is Ohio and the baseball facitily has recieved a whole new look this year! very exciting to watch and see both facilities come alive!

OG does play on og road by the soccer fields, but i think acme plays at the memorial park, but not positive on that...
as for the condition of the field, i'm gonna say that when stan was the coach, OG had the greatest playing surface this side of the rockies. Stan was out there for at least an hour every day, whether it was baseball season or the middle of winter, he was LITERAllY out there every day, perfecting the already great facilities....
and as for the atmosphere, 24/7 said it best...

My 2 cents,
Elida Sandy field, you can't even see 2nd base from home plate.
OG field, has been the bumpiest grass infield for quite a while.
Again, just my 2 cents

I just saw Van Wert vs. Bath last night at Bath's field and it looked pretty nice to me.
