Coldwater's field is pretty top notch. Love the new inning by inning scoreboard. Really, all of the MAC has pretty good baseball facilities except the fore mentioned Delphos St. Johns. Franklin Monroe has possibly the worst field I have ever seen for baseball-but I guess that is for another topic.

three awesome baseball facilities are greenville, St. Henry, and Indian Lake...greenville's is the best though...behind the plate is like wrigley field, 2 foot high brick...the outfield is a big wall with padding just like the majors...also nice scoreboard

one reason Indian lake's is cool is because there is a "green monster" in left field. biggrin.gif

I'll have to agree with PHdiehard, i was at PH's field once and i was impressed with how good it looked.
I wanted to have a career in sports when I was young, but I had to give it up. I'm only six feet tall, so I couldn't play basketball. I'm only 190 pounds, so I couldn't play football. And I have 20-20 vision, so I couldn't be a referee. ~Jay Leno

I would say Patrick Henry's field is the best there is. Also, Coldwater has a nice field with that hill in left center. I disagree with Elida's being at the top. It once was,but has since went dowmhill.

the miz,

Perhaps Elida's Ed Sandy Field has gone down a bit, but I still think it is top-notch in the WBL, and NW Ohio for that matter.............but hey we all have our opinions...........that is what this site is for!!!........ laugh.gif cool.gif

1)Patrick Henry
2)Coldwater

Patrick Henry's field is by far the best field I ahve ever played on. Colwaters is pretty sweet with the hill in left center. Elida's field has had problems with the outfield grass ever since they put drainage tile under the soccer field right beside it.

Sports Fan...OG has one of the worst fields ive played on. There is no atmosphere. Houses close by definately dont make it a good atmospher. Trees and a football field or track in the background would classify as a good atmosphere. As for what i think, Patrick Henry and Elida have two of the best playing infields. Not many bad hops at all for either of those two fields. Bellefontaine and Coldwater should probably be up there as well.

Where is OG's baseball field? Does the Varsity play at the one in the park like the JV does?

What about Bath? I know that they have had some problems in the infield, giant lip, but the monster in left field has helped the balls stay in the park. It used to be a fly ball would carry out, but now it adds another aspect to the high school game. They still have the best and thickest grass in the area.

Mr. Baseball,

You have to be kidding. Of all the diamonds in the Lima area, Bath has got to have the worst around. Stands are unsafe, pitching mound has deep holes in it, and the diamond is hard as a rock when it gets hot because they don't put any water on it. I know they have budget problems, but players' safety is at stake if they continue to not maintain their diamond properly.
