The 4x2 team from paulding should be very good again this year, with mott and rhonehouse as well as 2 new comers(I say this only because the people who I have in mind are just as fast as or faster then the 2 they will be replaceing)...

*Paulding still is in search of a head track coach tho...*

Mott and Rhonehouse might be faster than they was last year. It could be interesting.

Hate to burst your bubblle Wiser, but I don't believe Wise is returning to the track team this year. AE will hardly have a team. It might be the throwers, Alaina, and the freshmen. Many, many, many students are not returning to the team this year. Shmitt is still returning. I think. He changes his mind ofter I guess. Hutchinson will be back as well, and Goldsmith.

Hey Babyslice....i'm sorry to hear about the loss of people off of AE track team. What's up over there? I heard that you used to run , and we're pretty darn good yourself. What changed for you to keep such talent away from the track? I would hate for those kids (and you for that matter) to look back at your time in HS and think...."why did I do that...it doesnt matter who the coaches are...I should have run for the team...my school....and myself". We only get one shot to live our lives and do these things. Too many times we look back and wonder "IF". I'm not sure if that makes sense to you, or any other kids who read it...but to experience it is to know it. I wish AE and its kids the best...just like every kid.

Everyone just lost interest in track at AE... Between coaches that are complete jerks, not only how they act, but favoritism. It's terrible at AE. All about "the name game" Yes, I was a decent runner, nother great. I only made it to be an alternate on the 4x4 relay when we went to state. I was 2nd and 3rd leg that entire year my freshmen year, and after one bad time in terrible weather, we replaced me with a senior who ran the same time I did at that race. I usually ran a 62 split, and in my bad race I ran a 65 I believe, maybe a 66. But he replaced me and had me come as an alternate in Columbus... I wasn't happy. AE has always had a great team, but the spirit is running out and soon nobody will be on the team... it's rather sad. I thought about doing track again this year, but I think I'd just rather have a job and get some money.. I'm not sure who our coaches are even going to be this year. I think just Schafer and Emerick. Cause with Bonnie Nickles resigning, and her ex-husband teaching at Wanesfield, and Woods not coaching either. Schafer wasn't going to coach, but I guess he is again. This may be his last year.

Babyslice

I think of it simply this way. We are each given talents in this life...it's a shame to not use what we have been given. (Regardless of coaches, teachers, bosses..etc. that we have personality conflicts with). For every kid that has talent, there is a kid that wished they had that kind of talent. Hopefully we use our talent, and won't look back on our lives and shake our heads saying "I should have done this..or that...I WAS pretty good..wasnt I". Those are regrets!! A person shouldn't have regrets that they can control. That's my personal stance on it...but who am I....I know...I know...lol!!!!!

By the way...In my original list, I didn't put them in any order of finish.....meaning that I didn't list them how I thought they would go time wise or place wise. It's just a list of who is returning....and of course...if anyone knows who they think will be on that list...add em.

I agree with Rusty Paulding's 4X2 will be very good again this spring... I think with all the newcomers joining track this spring
this whole team will be very powerful in the NWC.

They are no longer looking for a coach Shawn Brewer is the man!!!

What, you mean ALL track coaches are jerks? And I just thought it was all the ones I had in high school! *GASP* Actually, I did have a pretty good coach for one year. Didn't wind up with a team that was all injured by the end of the season like the coaches I had other seasons. The good coach had practice by playing games and such (speedball, touch football where you couldn't pass the ball more than so and so many yards, short field soccer with no tackling, etc). You would be practicing running, yet would be playing games which were fun so you would "practice" hard because you wanted to win the game. The OTHER coaches woudl have us running 20 400's in an afternoon the day before a meet, or 10 800's the day before a meet. Kept saying that it would make us better in the long run. Yeah, he was wrong. One year with the good coach got us within points of league title, the 3 years under crappy coaches had us near the bottom of the league every time.

Float me some cash and I'll make running track fun for those darn AE ppl! smile.gif

Just wanted to say that Bo Zeigler from Bluffton beat Osting in Both Shot and Disc as well as Kory PLace. Sean Osting way overated in shot and disc.

well...ring is now doing track from SP i guess...i also heard that he was focusing on football....tyler obringer joined track now and is their best thrower in shot put...throwing around the low 40's...he'll get better though...he used to play baseball..this will deffinantly help him out in football with getting more coordinated and his feet quicker... and being a 6'4 270 pound sophmore lets his future be as bright as he wants it to be...everywhere else is pretty good...expect good things from all of them

For LCC Daniel Lombardo is a solid sprinter, i think 1 and 2, and 2 time CC state qualifier is coming out this year. I don't think Ruggley is running though

I would have to say Wisener from LV has both distance events down, he should try to run all three though..just to see were he would stand in the crowd!
