i believe VB will really be a shocker next year only losing 5 senoirs not to mention 2 of there BEST senoir players were inelligable. Not looking to shabby for VB next year. i can see them winning 9 or 10 games

VB will be a shocker? compared to what? the last two seasons? Yeah they may have a little better record but they arent gonna be a good team...they showed absolutely nothing to look forward to next year in their last game against otsego...NOTHING...yeah they had a first team a couple second team and a few hm players this year...but if u ask me they were put a little too high...none of those players would of been starters on riverdale or CR...Riverdale who loses practically no one will run the NCOSA next year...ada will be tough as well...and even with CR being low on numbers they have some talent...dont c VB beating any of those teams next year....they will beat calvert, mohawk, and upper but they have zero shot at title....I mean yeah vb is returning a lot of players but only a couple impressive players... if they work hard in the off season hey they may change my mind...but from what i saw from vb this year...uh not much to look forward to next season....

Just My Opinion....but VB did show stuff against Otsego. They played well against them even without any regular season goalies and two stand out players. One of them being their first team NCOSA person. Will they be able to hang with Riverdale and Ada next year....who knows....time will tell.

8-8 is reasonable depending on how hard their schedule is and how much improvement they have in the off season but my point about their first team player and their other awarded players was that they were voted too high...they wouldnt have even been starters on riverdale or CR this year....im not saying just VB players were overrated...but there were many from other teams as well...

I dont understand some of you. No VB wont be the powerhouse they used to be. But Riverdale,Cory,And Ada were all terrible at one time when VB was the only good team around now Vb is getting a taste of there own medicine. All im saying is there turning things around. Riverdale Cory and Ada all Bloosomed out of nowhere once VB started to become not so strong of a team. And look EVERYONE loves Riverdale now and Cory now. So when your done riding there ban wagon and you join the VB side ill just say I TOLD YOU SO.

And yea if some of the VB boys played on the riverdale team im sure theyd be starters and picked for all league and all that because HAYFIELD says that the little Gil boy is the best player he has ever had. What about Dan Schuck,Matt Vogel,Kurri Lewis, Sorry hes not better than any of them. He is a good player but not better than those guys. What im saying is you play for Hayfield then YOUR ALWAYS AMAZING

Yeah - crap goal that the goalie who came out too far couldn't get back and save. Still counts the same.

Now wait a second, when was Ada terrible? As I recall, VB has NEVER beaten Ada in the nine years that they have had a Varsity team.... and its BAND wagon.

If VB boys played for Riverdale, they would be getting water for the starters when they came off of the field.

Which, in the final decision, is Otsego's goalie's fault. Did VB earn it, no. The keeper made a mistake. But you are correct, a goal is a goal, whether it's a crazy hit at midfield, or a butt tramp that is 1.27 inches over the line, it's a goal.

I'm sorry formercoach, but you're wrong, they'd be shouting waterbottle the whole game.

Haha VB had their prime but right now their rebuilding...yes they r getting better but face it the players on VB r not the same great caliber players on a riverdale or CR right now otherwise their record would have faired a little better than 5-11-1

If VB wants to get to the top of the NCOSA again they need to do what they used to do and get as many players from other countries as possible. whistling.gif

VBwatcher, just how exactly do you know what is said in the league meeting? Better yet, if you do, then why post it? I was always under the impression that there was an understanding of confidentiality.

Anyways, if I say something in one of these meetings I mean it. I have no reason to resort to cheap tricks of hyperbole. By the way, you did correctly identify some VERY GOOD players.

If I remember correctly...the only foreign player in the past 5 years that may have made a difference in how VB played was Julio Batturola (SP?). There have been many, but they didn't make any impact on the team.

One foreign exchange student that had an impact was julio battirola that was the only good one vb has ever had so keep saying thats the only reason they were ever good. and by the way they werent 5-11-1 they were 6-10-1
