I got to know some Anna players playing fall ball in St. Marys the last two years. I know there were three of them & it's my understanding they played fall ball in Troy & Legion ball.

Anyway, I know the 3 players you are talking about, they were the exception to the rule here in Anna about playing all year long...however it was the ONLY sport any of the 3 played, making it easier for a kid to play all year long. Like I said before, the kids that play baseball at Anna, are mostly 2 and 3 sport athletes. And during the summer and off season they put more effort into the other sports...just an observation.
Not the best way to begin your posting here, bucks.

Ill keep posting away. If you have been around here for more then 8 posts you would know that I usually dont say much anyway, except to try and be a rational defender of Anna with all these crazies from other schools.
The fact is Anna is back to playing great in almost every sport, and I love it. Is everything perfect NO but it could be much much worse.

Heard the Redskins moved to 2-0 in the league with a win over Houston. I'll be interested to see how they fair against better teams in the league (Russa and Anna)

Loramie vs. Russia
Anna vs. Botkins (Ryan Leugers)
Both games could make a big impact on the league race. Botkins plays Loramie on Thursday, so how much Leugers pitches could fluctuate depending on the score. If Anna jumps out to a big lead, they might yank him and look towards Thursday, but if its a close game he might stay in and then bring in Kuch to pitch the end of the game. Should be an interesting night.

Anyone have the Anna/Botkins results?
Also, did Leugers pitch the whole game?

Botkins ended up winning in the 10th inning.
Leugers pitched into the 9th inning so I doubt he will pitch in the upcoming Loramie/Botkins game
Looked like Clark & Hunsucker were effective pitchers for Anna also.

SCL standings are in the paper - looks like Loramie has played everyone in the league at least once being 6-0
Russia, Houston, Botkins and Anna all in 2nd place with 2 losses each but not as many games played.
