It should be about skill, but does it really work that way? I'm sure that somewhere along the line they do look at stats.

The fact that Herrera is a talented and skilled player has already been established.

And great for your niece if she can already play soccer.

Oh, I know, there is a acouple kids on CR and Riverdale that are very talented. But not by scoring goals. As someone else said, little Gil is very good, but goals wise, you wouldn't figure he was good if you're looking at goals scored.

Wasn't there a dan shuck from Riverdale? I saw him play last year and he played very well.

Dan graduated last year. Gil's a WHOLE LOT better than people think. Goals don't make a player.

Sure does. Zidane never scored a lot of goals yet he's one of the 5 greatest player to ever grace this earth. Good thing he never played Ohio High School...he may have made Honorable Mention.

well said warrior!

You don't agree w/ Rembrandt at all. You agreed that Herrera should be up for it cause he's played w/ an innjury and got just as many goals so someone else.

All I was saying was that there is a RIDICULOUS over-reliance on goals when it comes time to recognize players. Anyone that has a chance to see Gil on a regular basis will understand exactly what I'm saying.

Oh, and by the way, Jordan is a very good player. Don't want to be misunderstood here.

My Zidane example was absolute sarcasm & apparently wasn't taken that way. Just used to illustrate a point. Guess that big smiley face on my post didn't quite smile big enough.
