I keep seeing L-B show up in tht top 5 on alot of other sites pre season rankings and was wondering what everyone thinks they will do this year. I hear they have alot of seniors this year. I haven't heard of them playing in any summer tournaments though. They play in a very weak conference and should get alot of wins, but are they really going to be as good as some are saying.

I heard they played in some high school travel league this summer. They hired the University of Findlays coach and an assistant named Louis Cortell to coach the team. I'm not sure how they did, but it must be nice to have enough money to hire college coaches to coach your high school team all summer.

I'm sure they will have a great regular season record with around 11-13 wins beacause half the teams they play are terrible, but I don't see them advancing too far in the tournament though.

You would think that with being LB though that they would have a better soccer field to play on. Playing on the old football field is just rediculous. That field is a piece of crap.

I agree with you that LB's field is pretty bad. I also agree that they play a bunch of pretty weak teams, it just so happens that your one of those bad teams and they play you twice during the regular season for some reason. If memory serves me correct they beat you 5-1 and 4-1. Maybe you should think before you post about a teams weak schedule when they beat you 2 times in a year with neither game being close.

However, now that O-G is back in D2 and out of their sectional they may advance out of their only to play the winner of the Kalida sectional and then its probably over.

Your right MUF they beat us twice last year at the beginning of the season. I still don't know why we play them twice, you would think after having a team for a few years our AD could get our schedule so that we don't play teams twice in the regular season.

But you would also think that LB would want to get rid of playing us twice so that they could strenghen their schedule. But they don't care about playing good teams all they care about is regular season wins.

I also think that the outcome of this years games are going to be a little different than last year.

Not sure why manfan is so hard on PG? I thought some of their scores last year were pretty impressive for a still young team.

LB's sectional has some teams that could win against them.

The teams in LB's sectional are Ada, LCC, Lima Temple Christian and New Knoxville.

The only team I see competing with LB to win their sectional is Ada.

You're right xfactor6 LCC could upset anyone this year. You never know about them they may just have several really good players decide to go their this year for academic reasons.

Yeah I don't know exactly what to think of that formercoach. Either Temple Christian has gotten better or Ada is a little down with losing several key players from last years team.

former, Ada should know more than anyone that preseason does not always tell the story. O-G got wind of a Herald article about that same subject, and 80 minutes and 3-0 later Ada's season was over in a dominating fashion...!!!

any truth to the rumor that steffan shannon from findlay trasnferred to temple? and if so anyone know the reasoning? i had heard this but didn't think it made much sense for a pretty talented d 1 player to drop down to d 3 his senior year

He must be one heck of a player to beat you all by himself.

On another note has anyone else heard all the talk coming out of LB about them declaring themselves the D3 state champs already. My cousin said she saw some stuff on facebook or something like that saying they are the D3 boys soccer state champs for 2007 already. And there one coach I think his name is Jim has been running his mouth to everyone about how amazing LB is going to be this year. This coach drives me nuts because he's probably 60 years old, but he acts like he's 20 and he thinks he knows everything about soccer. Oh well I guess we will find out soon enough just how good LB will be this year. PG plays them on Monday. GO ROCKETS

LB gets on my last nerve...as far as I'm concerned LCC is better than them, only graduating 2 starters and having a strong senior class this year, looks like we'll just have to upset them again this year.

PG, why don't you beat "someone" before you go running your mouth. Word has it PG has recently scheduled a varisty match against the O-G JV team....

tbird speaking of last nerve. As far as I can tell LB is better technically/tactically and only lost 1 or 2 seniors as well. Yeah I saw the tournament game last year, and let's just say....sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!

Its pretty sad when teams varsity programs can't find enough varsity teams to play and they have to find JV teams to play instead.

And this news about LB doesn't shock me at all.
