Perry and Spencerville were playing in the finals this afternoon. Anyone got a final? How about other areas?

Spencerville was playing Paulding in Game #2 of the District 3 tournament in Miller City. Shawnee defeated Ottawa 11-4 in game #1.

Are you serious, Sportsnut? Paulding was up something like 8-0 after the 3rd when I left. What was the final score? Paulding was crushing the ball early. I am shocked if this is true.......

I heard Fort Recovery beat Minster and New Bremen beat Coldwater in the Coldwater District. I did not see any scores...just those comments along with Anna having to forfeit.

I always hated it when kids felt it was more important for them to go to Country Concert than play in the ACME tournament..but it seems to affect teams every year. thumbdown.gif

Yes white shadow he is wallbash.gif . I made the trip over to watch, and was real impressed with the way paulding hit the ball. They just had a few mental lapses to keep spencerville in the game. If i remember correctly paulding was up 7-0 at one point and 11-6 going into the 7th. Ill give spencerville credit they didnt give up and took advantage of the chances they got. In the seventh paulding had a ball misplayed by the pitcher that cost them an out and a play at the plate that cost them an out. They also had trouble finding the strike zone , but like i said ill give all the credit to spencerville, they put the ball in play and didnt stop coming.

Paulding now plays OG in the losers bracket tonight at 6pm, they will need to bounce back fast after a loss like that.

The paulding o-g game is being broadcasted on WPAU right now...and as of right this second...Stoller is up down 2-2 and before him Stallkamp was up and smoked a 3-run homer to take a 5-2 lead for the panthers...

Tim-you might have seen 1/2 of Anna's team at Country Concert with you........

Bad thing about it is-ACME rules say that if you forfeit a tourney game THIS year-you are also ineligible NEXT year!

Owens pitched well for the panthers today. I figured Paulding would be down after sunday, but after a slow first inning they really pounded the ball. Rusty- should have been there to see that bomb stallkamp hit. It was by far the longest homerun ive seen in a while. Not sure if ill be able to make it to the next one boys, so keep it going and good luck.

Paulding will now face the loser of Spencerville and Lima Shawnee, wend @ 6.
