how do people think miller city boys will do this year in the league and overall. i think they will do pretty good, even better than last year when they were 13-4, 2 of their losses of course coming in the league. the PCL is def the strongest league out their, thinks to be all the teams in it.. lol

Losing 3rd team all-state player Andy Hermiller will leave a pretty big hole to fill. I still see them getting alot of wins, but not being a better team than last year. Outside of the PCL they play a pretty weak schedule. They play Bath, New Knoxville, Pettisville, Bryan, Wauseon, Van Buren, Cory Rawson, Riverdale, Ada, Lima Temple Christian and Convoy Crestview. In my opinion the only teams that will be any good out of these 11 are Cory Rawson, Riverdale and Ada. So I'll go ahead and say they should easily win 8 or 9 of these games and then a couple more in the PCL to finish with about 10 or 11 wins in the regular season.

I think they finished 13-3-1. They tied CR 3-3.

well hermiller maybe had 5-6 goals on the year and not many assists. he was a great player and will be missed, but miller city will easily do just fine without him. miller citys offense is back, juniors now when they started as freshman. their whole defense is back, juniors now who started as freshman. and the goalie was a freshman last year and he will be the best in the area by the time hes a junior. i think they will be better this year, but even better the season after next, with the most experienced team. theres my next couple years predictions...

Although I am a PCL alum. PCL is not the strongest conf by any means but is not the weakest either. WBL and the NCOSA (ha) are way better

I dont think they will be as strong without hermiller. i dont care if he didnt have the stats its all about the leadership and the guy who makes good runs and gets the ball to the right people, and thats what he did...without him MC just isnt as strong.

my guess for the year is still undecided.....it all depends on team chemistry and also injuries. im gonna say that they will have a pretty good season with all the defense returning, and all the offense returning, and hopefully some midfielders can step up to make a well rounded team. also, the two to-be-juniors up front and back on "D" have gotten a decent amount of experience in the past years and will hopefully pay off for them. but, the PCL is full of tough competitors so we'll see how things all turn out this fall

they lost 4 people...... the main losses are (all-stater) andrew hermiller, and phil erford (1st or 2nd team....i dont remember)..... returning are doster, wenzinger, and rieman on offense; schroeder, konst, and brown on D; and klear, and ellerbrock around mid. the offense and defense has (for the most part) 3 years of varsity experience; midfield may be a concern for the wildcats this year though.....

I have always liked Miller City.

Great Coach in Tom klear. Big kids, always well skilled, come to play.
I was happy with their upset of Kalida last year.

I dont know how you can say they can play just as well losing arguably the best player in PCL who played in the center where your midfield is ran and tell me they can still run as smoothly as they did last year. THeres no way someone is going to step up and play the way he did last year. MC maybe wins 11 and thats about it

so what is their full schedule? and i agree that it will be very difficult to fill the hole left by hermiller but they will still be a very worthy opponent

this is funny stuff.. miller city is only going to get better. yea they are losing andy hermiller.. but what all time great special thing did andy do that miller city isnt only going to get better.. returning are 3 two- year lettermen at front line, 3 two- year letterman on D, great goalie in the incoming sophmore..maybe not one better in the league..and at the midfield some more experience.. they will have all the experience in the world. that should be good enough.
