So, Florida is currently destroying UCLA by 18 with 4 minutes to go. Let's just assume that it is going to be Florida taking on Ohio State Monday night for the basketball National Championship.

Ok, so Ohio State got pummelled earlier in the season by Florida in basketball, then a few weeks later the football team took a shellacking from the Florida football team.

Oden can't seem to get through a game this tournament without being in serious foul trouble 5 minutes into the game.

A first-time Final Four participant head coach hasn't won a championship since...I dunno...ages...if ever!

They say that freshmen point guards don't result in National Championships.

Etc.

Etc.

Etc.

All the reasons Ohio State WON'T be favored. All i can say is that I hope Ohio State comes out and wins the game. Further, not only WINS the game, but pounds Florida back to the Stone Age that it looks like Joakim Noah has transferred directly to Modern Times from.

Thoughts???

Good luck to the Buckeyes.....I pray that you beat Florida....

However......I don't see it......OSU has no margin for error.....big matchup problems for OSU...

Florida, as much as I have trouble with Horford and Noah......is a very good team....I really don't see it being close!!!!!!!!!!

Bucks will have to use Terwilliger with Oden together during some of this game. Need this to counter Fla. hieght and to maybe help keep Greg out of foul trouble. Think Conley is the better point guard. Look for this game to be close......Bucks by 2

1. Florida should be a big favorite.
2. I expect to see Hunter more than Terwilliger on Horford. I really expect to see more zone than anything.
3. The key matchup will be Brewer on Harris and vice verse. I think Brewer is the "X" factor.
4. Oden must stay out of foul trouble.
5. Butler, Lewis, Lighty, Cook, 2 of the 4 need to have good games.
6. All the matchups will be interesting. (Conley/Green, Butler/Humphry, Harris/Brewer; Oden, Lewis & Hunter vs. Horford, Noah & Richard,)
7. The benches will be huge.
8. The officiating will be huge.
9. The coaching stategies will be huge.
10. GO BUCKS!

I like the fact that the Buckeyes are BIG underdogs. Also like the fact that NONE of the experts on TV are picking the Bucks to win. With that being said, I guess I`ll have to pick the Buckeyes just because that seems to be the way things work out in the sports world lately. Remember, everybody thought the Buckeye football team was a can`t miss too. thumbup1.gif

GO BUCKS!!
as Penny Lane stated, I would rather see Hunter than Twilliger playing....I thought they should have went with both them agaisnt Gtown....as a Bucks fan I am a little worried about this one....could be ugly! but I was also worried against Gtown, just not as much as now....we cant be owned by Florida this year can we?? maybe it will come down to these two teams in baseball as well?? wouldnt that be amazing!

Alrighty...What's the over/under on minutes Oden plays before being sat for foul trouble?

I say before 16:00 left in the 1st half, he is on the bench...The refs simply don't give him a break...

Fans = about 65% for Florida, 35% Ohio State...Kind of expected with game location...But, hey, it was about like that for the football Nat'l Championship, too, except in Ohio State's favor...
