Scared the hell out of me though!

Would have blew our office pool completely apart.

But it ended up being a great game with a much greater outcome. I was just heading out the door to go uptown to catch the abuse from non-Buckeyes fans when Lewis hit the trey to send it into OT. I figured if I`m going to catch some flack I might as well get it out of the way today. But somehow they pulled one out of the bag to end up in the SWEET 16.

osu struggled to beat a team that didn't even Win their League.....I wouldn't be so optimistic.....if osu was half as good as you folks think they are, Xavier should have lost by 50.....but guess what? osu is NOT THAT GOOD.....

Tennessee is coming and Lofton will WIN THE GAME THAT COUNTS THIS TIME!!!.....

yes, Michigan did not get in the Tourney and got beat bad by FSU in the NIT.....but guess what? That's already in the past.....

Amaker is gone and a new HC sounds dandy in AA!!!.....

GO BLUE!!!..... cool.gif

Make it sound like the Bucks played a d2 team. Xavier was playing with a purpose (Matta factor) and confidence against the Giant that is Ohio State. And last time I checked Xavier is d1 and got invited to the same tourny as Ohio State, they are good. This is why march madness is so exciting and college basketball as any team has a chance to win every night. Great teams win games that they play bad in and Ohio State did that. Hats off to Xavier for playing their butts off....Anyways does anyone else think Gus Johnson is the man at announcing? he has a great voice and gets so excited for both teams

osu played bad?.....so that's the only reason Xavier was in the game?.....you just said they are pretty good, right?.....so which is it?.....

I'll agree that it's March Madness.....but take off the scarlet and gray glasses and realize that osu is no NBA team.....

And I have personally lost ALL RESPECT for Greg Oden.....(it's not like I had any anyways), but that foul at the end of the game shows what kind of players, coaches, fans, and a University osu is.....CLASSLESS.....take a potential loss (I know, they didn't lose, but it looked like they might) like a man, like the rest of the nation does..... thumbdown.gif ..... cool.gif

I won't give them respect if Oden is going to make comments like that about the "should-have-been-called" foul.....Go do that in the NBA against SHAQ.....he may not return to the league, either because SHAQ scares him away or because Stern kicks him out.....that's worse than the Kobe elbows..... thumbdown.gif ..... cool.gif

Maybe we'll have another Shaq who leaves early because of the beatings he takes down low.

However, look at this. Greg needs to shut his mouth.

Unless you were there, you really cannot make any judgements on Odem. The man got mugged so many times I would be very surprised if he didn't have any deep blue marks on his chest, neck and arms today. There were so many fouls not called it was unbelivable. Even the Xavier fan sitting beside us made a comment how he was getting beat up. I bet at halftime they had ice bags waiting just for him. His last foul didn't surprise me at all. It was about time he started fighing back.

Retaliation is not the answer.....he might have been getting fouled and physically worn down.....but Xavier did not throw people 5 feet out of bounds, did they?.....Last time I checked, 18 years of age qualifies as an adult.....that's sad that he's an adult and acts that way.....there are young kids watching him play (unfortunately) who will seem to think that that kind of play is legal.....what a role model that is, right?.....how about you give me a break..... dry.gif ..... cool.gif

As someone said earlier: Matta former coach at X, X fans not happy Matta left, X wanted that win in the WORST way. Further, Xavier was the A-10 Regular Season champion and has wins over tournament teams such as Illinois, George Washington (which would have gotten beat by a 16 seed in the first round), Villanova, and Virginia Commonwealth. Hell, I root for Xavier a lot, but was rooting for OSU yesterday because I figured OSU could get further in the tournment than X could. Hell, at one point during the season, if I remember, Xavier was ranked in the top 25, then sort of hit a dry spell when a couple injuries hit.

As far as the Oden foul at the end of regulation, sure it should have been a little more than just a personal. But, hell, there should have been a personal foul in the scrum underneath the basket when he was with the rebound and got molested. And, hell, it's gonna get frustrating when you are getting called for all sorts of picky fouls when you have players trying to give you a prostate exam and not getting called for a foul.

And he's "legally an adult" at the age of 18, but so is pretty much every other college athlete and saying "oh, his acting this way as an adult is horrid" is pretty close-minded. I mean, athletes are always doing things that "don't teach kids valuable lessons for life." Next time I see Chad Henne complain to a ref about not getting a pass interference call or see a Michigan lineman take out someone at the knees or a Michigan DB hit someone late out of bounds, I guess we should hang the thug for not teaching the children watching valuable life lessons. Put him in jail because he clearly will no longer be a valuable member of society, right? I mean PUH-LEEZ!!!

hey for all you oden-haters out there, look at how many times he gets fouled and it is not called. he gets hacked all game and when he does one thing hard or wrong, you all hate on him. as for the game vs. tennesee coming up, the bucks beat them in reg. season but the tourney is totally diff. i think that osu will come out on top just because of the lack of inside presence tenn. has compared to tOSU. And GUS JOHNSON IS A PHENOM AT ANNOUNCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
