I herd that Ross from Van Wert is getting help from Purde's Stacey Wannemacher. It will be interesting to see how he does this year.

I'd look to the kid from Kenton to be the top guy this year in shot.

That said, I too have heard of the Thatcher kid and seen him throw at a few meets.
Big talk, little result. Although, if you want to see a good thrower from Van Wert, watch Hannah Philipot. She's got a great spin and has placed well at state if I'm not mistaken.

And you won't...

Does anybody have the girls results from last year? I'd like to see how they compare to the MAC.

Not real familiar with the shot, but a throw under 50 isn't going to get you too far is it? whistling.gif

In NW Ohio you won't see too many guys throwing over 50' unless you go to some of the bigger meets that draw schools with disciplined programs like Oak Harbor.... if you look at the results from most duels or tris from the area a throw of 45'-47' will get the win.

On the girl's side however, most duels and tris will be won by Phlipot with her nearly 38' toss. Most others are a good 4'-5' behind her. Once again, the bigger meets will draw better competition.

Just my view on things thumbup1.gif

daddy....Sorry for not getting back to you sooner; haven't been in this forum for a few days.

As far as whole co-ed teams, I think O-G, Wapak & Defiance & in girls alone, I'd add Celina & in boys, Shawnee.......With all that being said, I'm not sure who is back for these teams & what underclassmen they have coming up to contribute this year. I have always follwed the NWC much closer. Maybe some others can chime in who are closer to the situations than myself.

I'll be keeping my eyes & ears open & if I hear any real good things, I'll give ya a hollar back!

Where did you "read" this because I looked at the vwindependent, the times bulletin, and the vwvoice, along with the lima news and found no results from the boys.....

I have a feeling that Thatch73 has more than one account.....thumbdown.gif
