Well IMO the hardest event to run is any event against luke toland of ada because that is one fast dude. Last year he ran a 10.6 100 until he agrivated his hamstring and had to sit out of the district meet. Look for him at the state meet this year...possibly at the top of the podium.

What is the hardest event to run?

Ummm i'm gonna have to say the 400 is the most difficult..... well.. at least it puts you throught most pain, the 4x4 is up there with it but way more exciting. it can make or break a meet for you team and its also a grudge match against all those guys who beat you in the earier events

400 and 800 because they are almost a sprint the whole time and you stil have to have you kick at the end. Every event is tough though and my respect goes out to all people who run track because all events are tough.

i would have to say the 800 if u have ever ran it, its grueling u have to go hard the whole way and not let up if u wanna win

i'm gonna say based on my experience that the 800 was the hardest event that i did. i wasnt that good at it....not gonna lie there. but i could do a 400 and do pretty good, but i couldnt strategize enough to put together a good second lap. so because of this my coaches put me in the 1 and 2 mile. i was better at keeping a pace in those races.

Any track or field event is not that tough if you just do one - when it gets interesting and what separates the great athletes from the merely good athletes in having success in several events.
Being able to win at the state level in the 800-1600, 1600-3200, 100-200-400; now that takes athletic ability, mental toughness and conditioning.
But back to the question - I'd rate the 300m hurdles or the 400 (if you sprint the entire distance!) as the toughest sprint events.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run to win, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you get the prize! 1 Cor 9:23
