which is the toughest to play?? I dont just mean physical but mentally and physically...the answer they gave football...which football or hockey would be mine...the answer really came down to two sports nascar and tennins...after hereing this it made me think about it...tennis you are using your mental side alot as your physical side...in nascar you are under alot of pressure and you have to be in great shaoe to drive a car for that long at those speeds....what is everyone elses thoughts?

I'll say nascar is tougher than tennis because their is always that chance that you could die or be injured really bad in a wreck.

I'm going to have to say nascar. you have so many physical and mental demands that you have to deal it is unreal. you have to be in great shape, have to deal with extreme temp. inside the car and worry about dehydrating, and not to mention you could die on any turn

Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

NASCAR ISN'T A SPORT. A PRO ATHLETE IN ONE SPORT IS PROBABLY ABOVE AVERAGE IN ALL SPORTS. IF A NASCAR DRIVER PLAYED ANOTHER SPORT, I DON'T BELIEVE THEY WOULD BE ANY GOOD.........THUS I WOULD SAY TENNIS IS SOMEWHERE TO START AS AN ANSWER. YOU NEED CONDITIONING, AND MENTAL TOUGHNESS. ONE ON ONE, NO ONE TO BLAME BUT YOURSELF.

Nascar isnt a sport?? thats news to me...they have to be in good shape and mental awareness to drive a car...take LeBron I bet he couldnt go out and be a successful nascar driver every week...he is made for basketball football and maybe even baseball but prolly not racing...

The "Splendid Splinter" Ted Williams says hitting a baseball is the most difficult thing in all of sports...who am I to argue with one of the greatest of all time?

you have to be in great shape to race??? Look at Tony Stewart?? I dont think hes in good shape, and some of those guys are older than 50 years old. And Joe you said Lebron couldnt go race, and that is probably true, but i bet 99% of those drivers couldnt play basketball or football worth a ******* either. I think the hardest sport to play is got to be soccer. You have to be in GREAT shape to play, you are constantly running or jogging for 90 minutes, and you are using your feet. What other sport has you do that? Since you were born you have always used your hands, so soccer is a difficult sport to be good at. I also agree with Dr. that to hit a baseball is very hard. You only have a split second to react.

I like nascar and all but I just cant agree that it is the hardest sport to play.

game my comment was in reference to Big dog saying nascar wasnt a sport because they couldnt lay any other sport...yes you do have to be in good shape to be a successful driver...just because you dont look in the best shape dont mean your not in good shape....

but it often is a good indication. You cant tell me Tony Stewart or Mark Martin are in great tip top shape. Theres no way! There are just guys who have the God given talent to drive cars. There is also alot of debate if nascar is even a sport? I believe it is, but alot of others dont.

I think Foosball is one of the toughest sports to play. I don't think you can do it professionally but it takes a lot of practice to get really good at it.
I wanted to have a career in sports when I was young, but I had to give it up. I'm only six feet tall, so I couldn't play basketball. I'm only 190 pounds, so I couldn't play football. And I have 20-20 vision, so I couldn't be a referee. ~Jay Leno
