I wonder if the new OHSAA mercy rule (running clock when the differential is 6 or more) had any impact on these scores -- i.e., did the winning teams run out of time to score, or did they elect to pass around once they hit that differential (plus one more)?

The running clock doesn't take effect until the 2nd half. So that may not affected the scoring as much as previous games.
