Obviously there was.

Crestview ALWAYS has athletes. Basketball, baseball, football. They definitely been hit or (mostly miss). It's really no more shocking than Jefferson struggling with Allen East this year. On paper they should have beat them by 40-50.
Crestview forced 4 turnovers tonight. Opportunistic bunch of guys. I can't say congrats enough to Crestview!!!! They played all out.

AE was a much, much improved team this year compared to AE of past. It was shocking to see Crestview beat them this year, because Crestview had almost no athletes this year. AE also played with Spencerville for a while. Crestview on the other hand was LOSING to Paulding for a while, before pulling away late in that game. Crestview also only beat Parkway 12-0 and lost 41-14 to Hicksville.

AE also lost 21-6 to Ada. Ada beat them worse than Jefferson did. How bad did Jefferson beat Ada?

Game of matchups.

Well in fairness, DJ easily played their worst game of the season vs. AE. Not to pick on AE as they were a much improved team this year.

My point is Crestview had ZERO business even putting points on the board in this game if McComb wanted to keep their starters in. As it turns out, Crestview had a very real chance of winning against a McComb team that took Marion Local to the ropes when Marion Local was completely healthy as well.

I'm not saying this because I dislike Crestview...I'm just shocked. I'm pretty proud of the performance they managed to somehow create from thin air after the season they had.

One of the worst playoff schools of all time finally got a win as Rossford upset Norwayne 36-35. Rossford had been 0-8, maybe the most losses ever without a win.

Crestview is dominated by underclassmen this year and they have size. Look for them to be hell on wheels in 2016.

Well I would say it sounds good for McComb as they should take it as playoff wk 1 lesson learned and doesn't sound good for Marion as they are far from completely healthy as well from season opening week one.

Looking good for area teams for long run in playoffs.

Coldwater scored on 6 of 7 first half possessions in the win. Rematch with CHCA next week from last seasons State Semis

Maybe the Northwerst Conference is just more balanced than you think.

Each week has been a battle for teams that finished 3rd through 7th. In my opinion this showed why crestview was able to outplay McComb. The BVC is AWFUL this year and it almost cost their Champion a first round loss for not preparing them to play a full 48 minutes of hard hitting, intense football. Crestview has been doing that since week 4.

They looked pretty good vs Marion local.

Marion Local in week 10 was very much improved from week 1......ML would not have near the trouble now if they played McComb!!!!!

Have no idea since I was at a different game (which the officiating was not too bad at all) but playoff official assignments still puzzle me. I wish they would assign a "crew" and not mix crews up through out the state. Would think you would get better consistency with a group of officials who have been together all season
