Back in the late sixties I saw a head coach at practice hit a kid on the helmet so hard it knocked the helmet off and the chin strap didn't even come come loose. Different days . Salt tabs and all.
Lefty, that was 60's, can't do anything like that any more. Only Suh from Miami, what a punk....

I wonder if we're missing the point here. Many are saying good he got canned. But if Elida was 5-0 would he have got disciplined? If not, is disciplined only warranted when programs lose? Because Elida is bad is this just an opportunity to clean house? If he's that bad to be around kids, why is he allowed to continue to teach? Is this more about going up against the teacher's union, who doesn't protect supplemental contracts?? Just some tid bits to think about.

Off topic, but Elida isn't "bad" by a long shot. They lost 3 games to teams with a combined record of 15-3. Watch out for them to run the tables from here on out (pending a battle with OG) with a possible playoff run.

I would agree that Elida isn't bad, just down from a few of their playoff teams of past. I will say though I think those playoff teams might have made Carpenter look like a great coach.
