Congratulations to Leipsic's Gavin Cupp on verbally committing to Michigan State late last week. Not many D7 players get to play in the Big 10. Good luck in East Lansing.

True Dantonio may have pulled the offer because Cupp went to Ohio States Friday Night Lights? If so, classless move by MSU

Why's that classless? A lot of schools do that.

So MSU offers him, he commits and so they stop offering OL in 2016 class.
But he decides to continue to pursue OSU....

I guess I'm of the opinion one party broke their promise so the other party moved on.

most recruits continue to look at and sometimes visit other schools after they have committed, it is the nature of the game in 2015 and commitments aren't set in stone. That said, it also depends on the value a program puts on said recruit.

This day and age keeping a committed recruit may be tougher than getting the actual commitment.

Its not classless...Coach Dantiono preaches loyalty, he had a Verbal commitment to a program that is rising fast, he decided to look and.. Sorry, learn by your mistake...You pretty much said I want to be a Sparty....You strayed, you get spanked...Loyal to what you say....Good luck to Gavin he has plenty of offers, just wont be with Sparty..

Understand "The commitment" issue and Dantonio definitely has the right to pull the scholly, Commitment goes both ways though. After Cupps verbal do you really think MSU stopped going after O linemen?

According to the Courier, this had nothing to do with showcasing himself to Ohio State as Cupp just "wanted to compete against the best. I wanted to work my crafts, what I have been working on all summer."

I wonder how many people believe that. I am sure he wanted to go against the best, but I have a hard time believing he wasn't trying to audition for OSU as well.

Gavin has been on the OSU radar for a while. The "Friday Night Lights" camp was not the first camp the he has attended at OSU. The OSU staff has continued to stay in contact, even after he committed to MSU. That being said, whatever he has been working on this summer has definitely paid off, as he took home the "Bodyguard" award as the lineman that best protected the quarterback. He switched between left tackle and left guard. Rivals.com said he was light on his feet and dominate at the point of attack. The article was written before Dantonio pulled his offer. They also said it would be interesting where his recruitment goes from here. Gavin has offers from the SEC(Missouri) Big 12( West Virginia) and ACC(Virginia) among many others. It wouldn't surprise me, that after what has transpired in the last week, that more offers roll in. However this plays out, Gavin will be a great asset to the school that he attends next year.

Per 11Warriors...OSU has offered.

Wherever he ends up, I hope he gets to whoop up on MSU. Even if that means Michigan.

Why do you say that Flight? Reading a lot of the recruiting boards and it sounds like he impressed the coaches at the FNL. I admit, I did not think he would get an offer from OSU, but they seem to know what they are doing so I will definitely give him the benefit of doubt and wish him luck!
