Well, here we go again. I've mentioned last year also this has to be one of the tougher districts in the state, as compared to our weak hoops district. Titans take on MAC champ St Henry & likely their ace Mikesell. Our offense will need to find a way to break through somehow. This year it's red-hot VW team vs. D3 state-champ Coldwater, with many players back, in the other matchup. Should be some excellent h.s. baseball

The winner of this district has one less obstacle to state @ Elida regional, as top-ranked Fredericktown has been upset by a #8 seed
in their Lancaster district. As we've said before, bad teams become good when their ace is on the mound

O.k., everybody who predicted all the games right involving the WBL last night please stand up. I mean, 5 walks & a hits batsmen in our game, & then Coldwater getting shutout, Bath beating the WBL's best hitting lineup in St Marys & Celina's young pitchup getting a welcome to district baseball? Even Defiance having to come from behind against Maumee a slight shocker. Anyhow, what big big wins for the Cougs & our Titans ! With all the upsets of top-ranked teams & former state champs getting ousted, the winner Saturday @ Gene Stechschulte, Jr field (AKA Wander Field) could have a huge, huge opportunity this year the way everything's lining up

Ryan Maas threw a no hitter against Van Wert the first time the 2 teams met up with OG winning the game 2-0. OG has not made it past the districts since 1979. Van Wert, not sure ?? Should be heck of a matchup between the 2 WBL foes.
