The off season is among us and with that will come the inevitable opening up of head coaching positions. Last season was fairly quiet, but the previous couple of years were fairly active.

I know of one so far is Dan Hegemeier resigning from St. Marys Memorial, which may or may not be a coincidence that the New Knoxville job is also open.

Any other confirmed or rumored HC positions opening up?

Been awhile since I have a had a chance to get on RC (and basically keep up with local high school sports in the area) but I did not know about Hegemeier resigning, This actually surprises me as I thought he had St Mary's on the right track. Really think he would go back to NK?

depends what type of talent New Knoxville has coming back. Folks from St. Marys should all give him a big thank you as he exits because he had that program going in the right direction.

Hegemier was on Koza tonight. He's not resigning, he's retiring. He said he's not going anywhere else.

I didn't hear him on Koza, but from what I heard on TV and read in the paper it sounded like he was done.

I've heard he has to make some staff decisions. If they are not made, he is gone.

You're too vague. What kind of "staff decisions?"

Looks like the downtown coaches assoc. in Ottoville are not happy by keeping Coach T. When will they be happy? Good Luck Big Green...

Might be time for some assistants to move aside.

And people wonder why Kenton is a graveyard for boys bkb coaches - they are expected to win but get zero support from the community.

How many 7-on-7s are you willing to give up this summer so the bkb team can improve? There was 25% attendance for the Kenton boys bkb summer programs in 2014. Coach K would struggle with those circumstances.

Not a rumor, per the interview with Vince Koza this morning, Chris Bihn has resigned at Celina from coaching and teaching to pursue another career opportunity.

I guess his dad has a patent pending for something? So the opportunity there is huge and he may even resign from teaching...

I know Chris and his family. I knew about the patent and just wondered if what I had heard about Chris leaving coaching and teaching was true. Wish him luck in his new endeavors!!

According to some of my close friends the Green had a pretty darn good year. My Pirates kept them from winning the league but they beat some pretty good teams throughout the season. Congrats to their coach and the team and remember to ignore the unofficial coaches that sit in the stands.
