I'm going with a W Friday as Defiance has struggled mightily on the road at times, although certainly they played much better @ Celina than they did the Elida game, and that was a much better team. Still, been a long time since they've won here, so I'm saying that streak continues. Saturday, I'm going to have to stick with that preseason prediction as still being one of our three losses in regular-season action, as their guards will probably be too much for us

Sorry, I have great respect for the Titan program, but I smell two tough OG losses this weekend......they'll be able to take away a lot from both games though that will help in a few weeks. Just my opinion

O-G beat Archbold by 30 while scoring 80 Defiance beat them by 8 & scored only 42 . Both games were at Archbold. If you look at scores only that would favor O-G. It will probably depend on how O-G plays as they've been inconsistent at times.

Singleton might not play Friday, he didn't play against Archbold Tuesday night from a knee injury. Even with him it would be super tough for Defiance. Any O-G person know the last time O-G lost at home to the Bulldogs? It has to be early 90s or maybe even the 80s.

O-G scored 39 points & lost to Celina by 20.
Defiance scored 44 points & lost to Celina by 4.
Both those games were played at Celina.

O.G. play better than they did early in the season, should win in a close one.

Coach Lehman will have them sitting back in a 2-3 zone begging OG to go 3/21 from beyond the arc like in games past.....will not allow Bramlage to get started.....keep OG off the foul line, Bulldogs win 45-41....

Saturday night, travel to Lima and struggle with the quickness and offensive putbacks....OG to me has never been a good rebounding team (sans Pollitz) and Sr will attack the glass....

Hopefully 2 loses for the Titans. I would love to hear their fans complain.

Last time Defiance won at OG was 1993. Without K. Singleton OG has the edge.

I agree the goal for Defiance should be to not allow Bramlage to get started, but that has been the goal of most of OG's opponents and they have failed on most attempts as Noah is prob averaging over 20 ppg.

The 3/21 from 3 pt. land game was like 3 years ago. This OG team has some shooters, which is why the titans average 64 pts. per game.

Big win for Defiance without its best player. I thought Smiddy did a tremendous job guarding Bramlage. Pretty surprised that rebounds were almost even, maybe Defiance got some bounces. O-G lost several balls out of bounds from unforced mishandles, I don't know how they've been on turnovers this year.

First one down, one to go......according to the Defiance announcers Coach Lehman's game plan worked
to perfection....take Bramlage out of the game (they said repeatedly that he was frustrated by the
Bulldogs defense) and make OG make shots.....didn't happen, and although I value Falcon's opinion
especially when it involves OG teams.....he is wrong about this team..and then at the end of the game
they said that Bramlage was taken out with 2 minutes to go and OG only down 3-4 points....he did not
return....

tonight might be U-G-L-Y if OG gets out to a slow start.....that undefeated JV team from a year ago
seems like a loooong time ago....I am revising my prediction upward on a LSH victory....RM

Bramlage came out briefly with about 2 minutes to go. He was a little frustrated with a charging call on him. He came back in and hit a 3. Defiance played man 90% of the time. Smiddy did a great job on Bramlage.

They were subbing out Bramlage when they needed to foul in the final minute or two. He came back in for offense.

all in all, not a bad effort at all last night. Perhaps we benefited from Senior High playing 4th game in 5 days, but that's certainly a moral victory. I think Senior High will still have trouble in games where teams play a good zone against them & limit turnovers. That's how Wapak beat them also, albeit without Simpson, but regardless I think they need more halfcourt-offense options. Certainly will be an interesting matchup Tuesday w/LCC , that's for sure. Gotta give props to Coach Lehman for an excellent game plan & focus Friday, especially without their top player. Good thing for us we're not in D2 this year & don't have to see them or Celina anymore!

justin44:

Simpson and Pughsley didn't play against Wapak. Lima Senior lost that game due to lack of effort. They were out rebounded by Wapak. Anyway, yes the box and one with the chaser on Pughsley did cause LSH problems, but you could see the fatigue. I thought that if the dropped one, OG could do it. Bramlage is a load and he performed as I expected. LSH is rolling, hope they keep it going Tuesday.
