Up next should be a dandy between Kettering Alter (D2 #1) vs. Pickerington Central. Again, Pick. Central is led by what some consider the best freshman in the nation in 6-foot-3 Bexley Wallace. She is ranked as the #1 power forward in her class in the nation.

As far as I've been told, Wallace is the real deal. All of the big schools (UConn, Maryland, Notre Dame, and Tennessee to name a few) have taken an interest in her already. There is a Tennessee scout here, as well as the numerous ones we've named already (Ohio State, West Virginia, Texas A&M).

Kettering Alter starts Emma Bockrath, Libby Bazelak, Maddie Bazelak, Braxtin Miller, and Hayley Combs. Pickerington Central starts Katrina Williams, Sam Grim, Taylor Johnson, Elizabeth Fee, and Bexley Wallace.

Bockrath nails a 3-pointer to open the game after M. Bazelak wins the tip from Wallace, despite giving up at least three inches. Wallace has a pair of long braids (ponytails?) and they almost seem to distract her. They go all the way down to the number on the front of her jersey and then some.

Pickerington Central enters at 8-5, so while Wallace may be a star, the team is still trying to figure it out completely. They won't have it easy today against an undefeated Alter team, who some consider the best team in the state, regardless of division.

A series of turnovers for Central to start the game and Alter can't hardly miss.

Toledo Notre Dame files back into the gym for this one and Toledo Rogers has arrived. Rogers will face North Canton Hoover in about three hours.

Central starts just two seniors and they are struggling. They have got to have five or six turnovers already. Another 3-pointer for Bockrath.

A little more Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" to entertain us between quarters.

I've heard the cheers behind me as the Seattle Seahawks advance to their second consecutive Super Bowl with a late clutch performance by one Russell Wilson.

I guess that was more great timing on our part.....we're about a half hour from Beaverdam and Flounder is still
being the wheelman......after a short stint in the back I'm now in charge of keeping Flounder awake.....he's had
a verrrry tough weekend.....RM
home to the "Flounder & Rocketman's" Girls HS rankings
