This place smells wonderful!......right behind my seat there is a table full of homemade cookies and a 3' wheel of swiss cheese.....cut off what you want....probably should bring Slicer some of that too.....

It's about time for tipoff between Alter and Rogers. Rogers starts the five girls mentioned above while Alter starts the four I mentioned, as well as 6'0'' junior Hayley Combs.

Petty gets Rogers on the board ffirst and Beacham scores after Alter's second turnover. 4-0 Rogers. 3rd turnover for Alter and after a miss, Rogers gets a 2nd chance. They miss again but Maddie Bazelak is down in the corner for Alter.

Bazelak heads to the bench. Alter brings it up-court. They miss a 3 and Rogers is upcourt quickly. Peace, a leftie gets a soft shot to go and Rogers is up 6-0 quickly. Miller misses a 3 for Alter but they get the offensive rebound. Miller misses another 3 from the same spot. Rogers rebounds but turns it over quickly. Alter misses and Petty grabs the rebound for Rogers.

Hampton-Bey brings it up for Rogers. Beacham's short shot is no good but Rogers grabs the offensive rebound. Beacham misses and Alter grabs the rebound. Rogers foul. 6-0, Rogers with 4:25 left in the 1st quarter. Maddie Bazelak back in for Alter.

M. Bazelak gets Alter on the board finally. On the other end, Johnson scores quickly for Rogers and they have four girls with two points. Talk about a balanced team. Rogers running a bit of a zone but Miller tries a 3-pointer from the same spot for the third time but this one is good. Rogers misses a pair of shots on the other end. Miller for 3 is no good. Alter offensive rebound and another 3 is no good. Hampton-Bey gets the rebound and goes coast-to-coast for the layup and all five Rogers girls have two points now.

Miller responds with another 3 on the other end for Alter. Rogers misses and commits a foul on the Alter offensive end. Myia McLeod in for Peace for Rogers. Alter misses and here comes Rogers. They turn it over. Of note, and with no offense, two of the three officials in this game are females.

Rogers running a bit of a 1-2-2 or 1-3-1 zone and it's causing Alter some offensive woes. They miss again and Rogers is down the court quickly. Petty is blocked and Alter is back on offense. Johnson commits a foul. Alter running the clock down and it will draw a foul on McLeod. 8.1 seconds left in the quarter. Bockrath gets her shot to fall at the buzzer.

M. Bazelek's 3 is short to open the 2nd quarter. Johnson is way off for Rogers on the other end. M. Bazelek misses another 3 and Beacham is blocked on the other end. Johnson grabs the offensive rebound and puts it up and in. Johnson blocks M. Bazelek on the other end and the 6-foot-1 Johnson will bring the ball up. Beacham turns the ball over but the Alter coach is unhappy at one of his players. 14-10 with 6:10 left in 2nd quarter

M. Bazelak drives and scores for Alter. Hampton-Bey spins but is blocked in the lane. Johnson grabs the rebound, puts it up and in and she's fouled by L. Bazelak. Johnson misses the first throw and M. Bazelak grabs the rebound.
