When did the BVC turn into the MAC? Arlington played 3 regular season games that their opponent finished their season above .500. Grove played 7. Arlington is and should be favored in this game. But why should we expect a blowout? Grove is playing some good defense the past 5 weeks and Warnecke is one of the best backs in all of D7.

The Coldwater vs LB (another BVC school) game will be closer than this one Arlington by 4 TDs

PG didn't play Arlington or LB if they did it would've got ugly quick, heck the 2nd tier BVC schools (VB, Mccomb, leip) beat pg by about about a 3 td average. Point being Grove struggled with pg twice.

BVC is no where near MAC but think it proved again that the top is better than the NWC just ask the team the NWC booted in LCC (for being too good) how it was playing the 3 or 4 best BVC team.

Wow, all I said is if Arlington had Grove's schedule they would be 10-0. Maybe playing better defense against a couple good teams like Calvert and Crestview but not saying much for Bluffton and Pandora (which we know is a BVC school not a MAC )

Calling all BVC huddlers we must pay our homage to the MAC for McClane's sake as we don't want him to think we have visions of glory. We know who we are and we know who the MAC is but you introduced that comment to the thread :bow2:

i hope everyone in Arlington is preparing for their matchup for Marion Local in week 14. It sounds like Grove has no chance. This reminds me of the last time the Bulldogs played a BVC team in the regional finals. Grove was told they had no chance aginst a McComb team that year. Let's see if Grove can somehow compete with a team everyone tells them they have no chance against. I believe that was the final performance of the Rusty and Dusty show.

Yes. They are just 3 weeks away from being the 4 time defending state champs. Even the mighty Arlington Red Devils don't have a chance against them.

So you want your beating on state wide TV. That didn't work out to well for Shadyside's image.

I sure hope that Arlington (the team) gives Grove the respect they deserve. At this point in time it doesn't matter who you have played. Grove is coming in pretty hot and if Arlington looks past them, Grove will take advantage of it.

John, I wouldn't disagree with a word of that...its just not a Marion Local thread. I'm sure that will be the chat next week though.

Arlington seems very focused and very disciplined from what I've seen. They got this far last year only to have the door shut in their face. They will be more focused this week than they have been all year.

Well I watched the Arlington/DSJ game (which should've been worse than 30)and I do think LB would beat DSJ by 40-50 like Coldwater did so, I don't know what to base it off. I wish DSJ gave us something to base off but they got out scored 120 something to zero vs ML, Coldwater, Arlington. I think LB is a td or 2 better than Arlington and think they will lose by 2-3 TDs (to Coldwater) and think Grove will lose by 3-4 Tds (to Arlington)

I apologize JohnMcClane I thought you knew the match ups

I have my opinion you have yours and we'll see who is more accurate Friday.

That logic makes sense to me. I agree Coldwater would beat Grove by at least 3-4 TD's.

Well LB did beat Arlington this year 25-13 and yes there were a lot of would of, should of, could ofs that happened in the game. Arlington scored only 1 out of 4 times inside the red zone in the first half and gave a big play up right after one of those possessions. They could probably play 10 times and end in a split or LbB with a slight edge. No matter what happens, all the teams that are still playing are good (just some will prove their "good" is much better than someone else's). The unknown going into any game is turnovers and penalties.
One thing I do know is that Arlington is very good defensively and causes a bunch of turnovers. Can they keep the trend going? I think they have over 30INTs as a defense this year.

Also, Arlington held Combs to under 100 yards rushing and no TDs and also did pretty good against Van Burens running back. That is an accomplishment because those kids are pretty darn good. So I think their run defense is pretty good as well........ BUT....... We will find out Saturday night. Play it on the field and leave no doubt.

Also, if Norwalk and Trimble win I could see them keeping the brackets the same as they are. If Western Reserve wins they rebracket based simply on travel because they are much closer to Trimble and Shadyside than Marion Local and Norwalk.

Under. If he goes over, it won't be by much. This matchup reminds me of Arlington/DSJ last year in terms of matchups.
