We didn't get worse. Played a tough team and had a bad night!
You may be right Bear this could be a bad example.

But my point was (using Spencerville) they lost 3 of their last five games. But.. they had reeled off seven straight wins "prior" to that while playing three playoff teams in that period including LCC and the Grove. That in some eyes would indicate a drop off. I'm not dogging the Bearcats, its just an opinion.

Injuries played a factor in a couple of those games except the Jefferson Game where turnovers killed us.

What does this make me think of? Hmmmm? What was it? Arrgh.... I hate it when the ol brain doesn't function like used to. Oh well. At least Coach Schafer won't rant his way to loss like ol Coop did.

Oh...now I remember. :punk:

Yeah but that year only Grove had to play on a bad field not that other team... this year both teams will play on the field at the same.... oh wait!!

Also Spencerville is going to be tough the next few years as the JV's have only lost 1 game in 2 years some very good young players coming up!

Or, who has the line that can penetrate or prevent penetration the best. When Grove had Maag, who was talented, he also had Young on the line who was all-state for a reason. A good back looks better when it's the defensive backs that have to stop them. There has to be an opening to advance.

Not sure about Rettig but whenever i'm able to watch Warnecke play he is a beast running the ball. He is not easily brought down and fights for every yard he can get.

My one prediction for this game is that the Grove fans in attendance will double that of DSJ and McComb combined.

I was really surprised and disappointed at the turnout of both schools fans for their playoff games.

Spenserville had a great season, again...I'm not dogging them. As far as the Tinora game.....LB might very well meet the same fate against Coldwater. It happens.

Does everyone have to sit in a circle, hold hands and say 3 nice things about every team/ school?

Yep... for sure that's the mentality now a days
It's not like I care about your opinion. I just don't comprehend why you feel it is necessary to say negative things about Grove every game.

I never post anything about Grove, period. They really aren't a team I bother with following since the team I cheer for never plays them. You're the one throwing out a high school girl's name on an Internet forum and saying certain players run like little girls. Better go do your homework now.
Do you have anything better to do than argue with me?

I'm surprised Grove has recess this late in the school day.

Find one thing I said negative about this grove team. Quote it. And when you get your panties unwound you can get your homework done.

Not that you can tell anything by this, just thought it was interesting in my prep research:

228.8 lb average arlington offensive line (C Jolliff is only 188) vs Grove D line 198.7 lb average

246 arlington defensive line avg (280 glick, 290 grieser) vs grove O line 217 (roney 260) avg
Don't find fault, find a remedy.
