Gview yes they are in NW Ohio. But I am more less thinking this area like not quite up by Toledo. I'm talking Putnam County, Defiance, Paulding, Van Wert, Allen, etc.

Well none, but soon to be one if Paulding gets their team.

But let's throw out Paulding county and add Hardin, Hancock, Auglaize. My essential point was the general area.

I was just asking, because I am familiar with Paulding, the town.

Oh ya I think there really is only 3-4 actual high schools in that county and Paulding I think right now is starting a program. Not sure if it will be a high school one any time soon but so far just a traveling one.

One in Paulding-Paulding HS, and one right outside of town.

Haven't heard much about Toledo-area teams yet.

From what I've heard, Wapak has done well over the summer in some camps and scrimmages, and St. Mary's is strong as well (although I then heard St. Mary's lost a scrimmage 5 or 6 to 1 against Liberty-Benton). I figured L-B would not be quite as tough this year after losing so many talented seniors.

What's the scoop on how scrimmages have gone for some other teams? It's way too quiet here with the season beginning in two days...

Archbold's record last year against the 7 teams above was 3-0 (beat Bluffton 4-0, Ottoville 3-0, & MC 3-2). Where's the love for the Bluestreaks, district champs or finalists the past 2 years? NW Ohio's newest soccer town!

Archbold had a good team but that was last year. Some of those teams that were mentioned above last year also lost a lot from the previous year. Now if I am correct Archbold is in that boat this year with having lost some. If those were scrimmages this year, then it might be something to talk about but that was last season and not everyone is back. We will just have to wait and see.

So if I understand correctly, last year's results don't matter because all schools lose graduates each year. So we're better off waiting until the end of this season to "predict" who this year's top teams will be. Sounds like a plan!

Well first off I never said last years results don't matter and second I never said waiting til the end of this season to determine the top teams are for this season. I'm just saying you can't just use last years results in determining who the better teams are for this season. You also have to figure in what your team lost and who you have coming back.

I don't think Bath is as strong this year.

Not a fluke. (1) Bath will be down this year. (2) CM Connor Davis from Indian Lake is the real deal. 2nd-team all-state last year as a sophomore. Also, team won their conference last season.
