We'll see how many of the top athletes from the football team will head to s. cable road now that it seems davis will be new basketball coach. So much for the rebirth of the football program but hey it was fun while it lasted.

I'm not sure how any hire could have been made when the AD was on Koza's show the Monday after Allen was let go and said they would be taking applications until March 18th and then there would be a committee put together. If it is a done deal it doesn't say much for the AD. If Davis is their guy, you can't let it leak out while you are still supposed to be taking applications.

Koza is known for throwing underhand instead of throwing it high and tight....he's not about to ruffle anybody's feathers
in the Lima community because he's not getting any younger...the show is only exciting when he is accepting phone calls
debating the NWC vs. LCC story (now that was some good listening!)...instead he trots out the same guests every week who
most people who listen to him could give a flip.......so him having the AD from LSH on doesn't surprise me....the AD was
definitely going to be politically correct, Koza offering more softball questions, and there you have it....

They are closing ranks over on Spartan Way and my sources are neither confirming nor denying our observations about the
next coach being Davis....I think that they're getting a little jumpy about being "outed" by the LSH administration...
One of them said that the AD is following this story closely on the RC to see if he can piece enough information to find
out who is leaking details......

I made about 10 phone calls/texts today and no new information is forthcoming.....The BOE meeting is coming up next week
but we are still saying DAVIS is the man......again, FINAL answer

If they announce a new Coach next week this whole "horse and pony show" and Lima Senior Basketball will be a joke not just in Lima but ALL over the State.

Nothing against Davis but this hire would be stupid.

The 80's are over. In this era of basketball it's all about forming an AAU type team to compete. I don't like it but it is what it is. Now if you have within your community a proven winner in this type of environment in which every kid respects and loves to play for why would you not want that person.

This whole thing comes down to one thing. LCC vs LIMA SENIOR, who gets the talent and who doesn't. Lima Senior made a bold move in hiring Mike Fell and as seem to turn the football power within the city back to Spartan Way, but this hire would kill all momentum.

Again nothing against Davis but I just don't think the kids would respect nor listen. It's a shame but it's the new world we live in.

Davis got the job. Why else would he be at J's Chateau sitting with Fell talking about doing a Bball and Fball combined strength and conditioning program??? On a side note- for real comedic relief- check out THE almighty "coach" Q's Facebook rant. Talking 'bout all the Lima haters and "dis" ain't gonna stop him from doing him and all the great things for Lima's youth. Blah blah blah. Man he is just keepin it a hunnit. (Disclosure this is not how I talk. I have an education. But I was just quoting the boyscout Q. 😂
