If you wanna be good for a couple years then hire Q, he'll get you a couple good players. But if you want a REAL coach, hire Davis. It's that simple.

WOW!!!
'How do you figure that?
If Q gets the job LSH he will bring kids back to LSH that wouldnt go there otherwise.
He will bring Defense and hard work.
He will have a quality team for many years.
And Davis is OK.
What has he done besides have a couple decent teams.
State Title,State Semi,?
If i am mistaken tell me but this year is farthest hes made it correct?
And the last couple years were his best years?
Quincy can take an average team and make them good, Quincy can take a good team and make it great,Quincy can take a great team and make them champions.
LSH will make the best decision in their basketball program history if they hire Quincy

Mystery..... How do you know what Q can do with average or good players? He only coaches the elite. Of course Q looks like a darn good coach; I would too if I coached high caliber King James AAU teams. The difference between a great coach and a good coach is what you can do with a average/below average players.

Yes Doug has had some good athletes lately. But he hasn't had Div. 1 college bound players. He has had Div 2 or 3 college bound players and his team beat teams with All Americans (Elida). Look at his starting 5 this past year compared to some others. No big names except Taren who will be mediocre at Findlay. He progressed Colin's game. He progressed the Askins kid game. Heart beats talent when talent has no heart. Quick fix... Hire Q. Long term success and life lessons to turn boys into men... Hire Davis with Hutchins as varsity assistant.

Quincy makes kids better players cause of his basketball knowledge. He doesn't just go stand on the sideline and watch these kids play he COACHES them and kids want to play for him because he MAKES kids better basketball players. The elida teams bath beat had one superstar, mathias. The rest of there teams were average to below average. It's a lot easier to defensive gameplan to stop one kid than a whole team of above average kids. I can't speak on either coach making kids into better men besides basketball because I do not know them in that aspect, but if your talking about basketball knowledge, getting the most out of your players, and winning games Quincy is your obvious hire.

Elida had one superstar.
Elida lost more then one game.
You act like Davis accomplished something.
And if im correct Bath beat OG this year and it was the 1st time in how long?
Like i said Davis is OK good at best.
If you want a coach go to OG,Leipsic,Crestview.
Thats some coaches.

Ive seen Q coach mediocre teams and win. For example
He coched non-sponsered teams in Lima for years and won every year. He beat all the top teams in the state and surrounding that had full sponsorship from Nike,Adidas, and Reebok.
Ive watched him take his freshmen teams and go 20-0 a few times. His JV teams went undefeated several years, and i watched him take a Rhodes team (which most people dont even know have a bbasketball team) and go 21-9 and to a conference championship after being horrible in one year.
My son has played for him and my daughter trains with him now.
I see someone mention Davis and Hutchins.
Name me one place where anyone has seen Hutchins coach???
Q along with Jamar Butler,
could take those young boys and turn them into successful men on and off the court.
Q has 20-25 years left of coaching in him in Lima.
(if a collegiate level coach dont get him)
Whats davis got left in his tank at his age???
And look at the talent in the lower grades LSH will have for years to come!!!

A college or university is not going to hire an assistant coach who doesn't have a college degree anymore. Look what happened at South Florida. The Manhattan coach has to finish his degree before they can hire him back. Hutchins was an assistant at LCC under Seggerson at one time.

So since you know it all
you know according to Quincy himself he will have his degree in December.
He was pretty close before!!!
Hutchins being under Seg for 1 season doesnt account for anything.
He has never coached a team on his own at any level.

Probably as soon as they can schedule a flight out of town. Most likely the announcement will be made from the airport.

Slice is back...yea!

I don't understand why supporters can't just list the positive attributes of their guy. It always turns in to a bashing of the other candidate. Both candidates, and certainly others too, are more then qualified for this position. It will simply depend on what the decision makers are looking for...

I am of the opinion that neither of these guys deserves to have internet coaches belittling their accomplishments. It is impossible to compare every different situation that each of these candidates have endured and succeeded in... For example, is an AAU championship worth more than a high school regional final...? That it certainly getting into subjective territory.

I certainly understand and support differing opinions. the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate have clearly been identified. But it appears as the decision date draws nearer...the attacks become a bit more uncouth...

I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Just to humor my own mind. If Q gets hired couldn't the "big 3" transfer back to/go to LSH and play football/soccer/golf(if they add it) and serve the "suspension" during that "season" and play the entire basketball season?

That wouldn't work. The bylaw specifically states that it has to be a sport the player played at the prior school.
