If Lima Senior is doing this "behind the scenes" and not doing their work to make sure they have the best possible coach, then they deserve to remain irrelevant in boys basketball.

Domer,
This is how things work.....whether like this at LSH or in the real business world....people are always talking about
"what if?".....I don't believe for a second that the superintendent will be in on the final decision...oh, maybe she'll be at the table and all, but the decisions will have already been made for her by a man/men....school board is in the dark,
so you have the AD and maybe the ex-AD, and maybe the football coach, and a couple others.....that sounds about right....

right, wrong, or indifferent I really don't see it making that much of a difference anyway.....now that LCC has another
state title in their hip pocket, they won't even have to wave it around when the good ones are coming up through the ranks....their moms will know and that is all that matters........RM

Spartan Dome.... Davis is getting interviewed this week or next week. Ok maybe this week is a "sit down to talk" and the following weeks to come an interview. I cant tell you my source... but ohhh soooo trust me. ;) Davis has been in the works for about 3 months and talking between the parties has begun... unofficially. There... is that better for you since I put unofficially? How is Q working out?

I've heard the same thing last week from a couple of Bath people. How true it is? I don't know.

From all the indications I've seen and heard, it's Davis'job if he wants it...

1.If LCC would loose the Big 3 there is no way in hell that they are a 15 win team uunless they play a medicore schedule.
2. If Q would get the LSH job X will not leave LSH. Maybe other kids will go but i dont see X leaving.
3. I have heard from sources that a LCC kid is thinking about transfering schools.
4. X will play at a major D1 school like MSU,OSU,Indiana, etc. Remember a kid named Tyler Ulis who is 5'9 if lucky.
he shot up the recruiting charts his junior and especially senior year. Now where is he going to play? THats right Kentuky. X is a special player with an IQ off the charts on and off the court!!! He will only get better and will be the main kid on the LCC team next year! Look for him to average at least 20-25 a game pushing double digit assits. Did you see the way he shot those floaters over those kids in the champonship game. That takes practice. He will be just fine.
5. Who in the hell ever said X and Q had to be package deal is out of their dam mind. Q will not be where X is.

You are right about a package deal. No D1School is going to hire an assistant that doesn't have a degree no matter how kid their son is. The rumor of a transfer isn't one of the three starting sophomores either. LCC's schedule next year has already been beefed up to test next year's team. They've added Toledo Scott, they're scheduled to play in the Flying To The Hoop showcase in Dayton, and they're scheduled to play one of the top teams in Michigan next year in a showcase in Grand Rapids. Bottom line LCC's team and it's players will be getting plenty of exposure and competition with next year's schedule. Without the three they would still win 15 because most of the local teams without the exception of LSH will be down next year. So 15-7 would be attainable if you look at their schedule.

that my friends is what makes the RC the best HS sports site around.......you have people saying "no way" that this happens, while I stick my foot in mouth and say "that it WILL happen"...he might not get a "coaching job" per se,
but he will get a job......kinda like all those kids who went to Shawnee back in the 60's......kid's a baller, have job....will travel......RM

1. If Q gets the job, why would he coach against his own son?
2. If those three Sophomores are Not there, they are definitely a .500 team.

I hope you are right and this kid has his choice of schools when all is said and done. However, to say that he is going to go to UK is saying a lot. You have to be one of the best point guards in the country to go to the schools you mentioned, specifically UK. I don't think he is anywhere close to one of the best in the country, is he?

Soph class rankings for prospects wont be out til late this summer. Right now recruiting servces have only your big time studs ranked. They have seen alot of them play but Jr and Sr have been their focus. An example is scout--they have about 20 kids at each position ranked and another dozen or so scouted. By end of summer they will have scouted the Soph hard and have a bigger and more detailed list.

Big summer for X. Everyone knows who he is and he will have opportunity to play against best.
