LCC won the first game 67-38 with LB down a couple of players. The two teams get a rematch Saturday night at ONU.

Thoughts? Predictions?

I hate the fact this and Elida, Bath are at the same time! Man, marquee match up! Think the birds squeak this one out, three or less.
I am a Spartan, as was my father before me.

Might be a football reference thrown in there.

LB schedule for the last 5-8 games were wins over weak teams under 500. The only game with a challenge to them was Bath, and that never transpired due to bad weather. So although LB's record looks good, they played a pretty weak schedule.

LCC has played a pretty aggressive schedule, and took 4 losses within 3 points or less. The exception was Crestview, which was by 12 points.

I think LB comes out strong, hangs tight with LCC, may even take an early lead, but Im giving this win to LCC by 8.

Since we're close to selection Sunday, we can use that for LB. Their "strength of schedule" and "quality wins" is pretty minimal. Mosf of the better teams they've played, they lost to. Very simple, can they guard LCC's studs?? Can they shut off dribble penetration? Normally, LB is just much more talented than their opponent, not in this one. They'll need to play a clean game and hope LCC has an off night shooting to have a chance.

We will see which coach will better be able
to bend the official's ears......Buzzkill with his incessant
ranting or Williman with his "persecution" look?
If the game is called closely (ie: reaching, bumping,
over the back, blocking) I like the Eagles chances...
Willy will be making sure to get his point across....
Coach Kill only knows one way.....

This should be a good one and if anyone wants to
shoot a little film for the RC.....well, let's just say we
would all appreciate it!

The only team that will beat LCC before Columbus is themselves. NW Ohio Div. 3 is pretty average this year.

I agree with this statement and expect it will happen. I believe the necktie will get tight beginning with LB game.

From reading most these posts I guess its obvious LB has little to no chance in this one.

But, here's my take just for fun: LB has 5 starters that average 10-13 points per game. They need all these options healthy and available to compete with any premium team. They were without three of these starters off and on for a big part of the season (Garver, Geiese and May who now comes off the bench). When healthy they did posts a few nice wins (Rossford, Ottawa and Carey to name a few). They actually beat Carey by 35 (the team LCC beat to get this game). Now... will they beat LCC tomorrow night, maybe not. But, I think it will be closer than the first go around. Time will tell. Go EAGLES!

Oh no Tiger, Lb has a great chance because of what you said. Very balanced and strong in the post. No, this will not be an easy game for either team..

Having seen both teams play LCC has a edge on guard play while L-B has such balance as scorers. If L-B can force LCC out of their comfort zone and control the game with half court basketball sets they will win. If LCC gets their running game going they will win. It is gonna be a chess match between these two implying their wills. This will be a great game where I see the overall talent of LCC leading them to victory.
