Shocked by Pandora-Gilboa Season

I have seen PG play multiple times this year and well in all reality, PG's Junior Varsity coach should be coaching the Varsity. He has a sense for the game and knows what he is talking about. The JV coach had won all but 2 games until recent, the Varsity coach made some unrealistic changes dropping 3 varsity girls to JV and knocking the JV into a stir, since this they have been killed in 3 straight for jv.
Something needs to be done a PG and I'd say this off season. Good Luck to PG and their tournament run this year because I wouldn't want to draw them. They will be the most under rated low seed in the tournament, depending the team that shows up.

When I saw PG play twice (one win, one loss) I thought their ballhandling was poor and they didn't have a consistent scorer outside of Maag.
I feel for any PG coach with what I see on these boards.

I agree, I didn't see them beating LB, Arcadia, or Leipsic in the BVC with any coach. I wouldn't have been surprised if they beat Arlington or lost to McComb.

I have lived in Pandora for a long time now and have been very discouraged with the parents and community as a whole when it comes to support for coaches. I know it's not everyone, but it seems there is not much support for any coaches at this school. People complain about these young varsity coaches with little experience on both the girls and boys side. However, they were the same ones who ran out two experienced coaches in Braidic and Brooks. Who in their right mind with experience would want to come to PG to coach? There's a reason why the school didn't hire an experienced head coach...because all experienced coaches know they will get no support here so they will not waste their time. Let's give these young coaches a fair chance and see what they can do after 4 or 5 years. It's going to take a special group of parents and community supporters to take a stand and try to change this negative culture, and I will sure as he11 do my part.

PG needs to stand behind their coaches and help to make the program better. PG had good coaches and chased them away.
I think what makes it so hard is that we all go to ball games and watch our daughters (sons) get beat and we want to blame someone. The truth is, there is no blame, someone wins, someone loses. Sometimes the better team loses. It's called 'playing' the game. It's a life lesson. I can't even tell you what the records of my basketball teams were when I was in high school, but I will tell you that the coach I had as a freshman prepared me more for life than anyone else ever did. It wasn't about winning and losing, it was about learning.
Finally, parents get behind your coaches, support them, support your kids, give both what they need to succeed, and FGS, don't get in their way.
I need to stop reading this web site. My blood pressure boils.

It's not the RC that makes your blood boil.....
There have been more stories about PG in the RC's existence than any other.....
I still believe it stems from the discord between Gilboa and Pandora.....it was never
a good fit.....certainly not like the EHarmony ad makes it out to be....

The girls coach I believe can stay, she does know more than how to get dressed up, like many people think is the only thing she can do. Yeah so some of the things she does is questionable, but in some games I have heard her tell the girls some smart things. I sat close enough to her at some of the games, the one that comes to mind the most is the ottoville game last year when the girls had one of the closest, if not the closest, game ottoville had until state and she made some good decisions. However I'm not gonna speak for any other coach in the district as I don't know any more than hear-say.

How can you be going downhill since the beginning of the season unless the expectations were set too high?

PG right now is an average to above average girls basketball team to say you are " Shocked" seems a little extreme. Maybe disappointed or underwhelmed........but shocked would mean a team is 10+ wins/ losses above or below where most people would have predicted.
