When is the next board meeting again? I know someone said it earlier in this thread, I am just to lazy to look for it.

Coach Hunter is still fun to watch him coaching the 7th grade team.
My grandma is faster than that.

I would like to see Patterson to get it. But if not, than Inselman be my next choice. Patterson likes it in Wapak. His kids go to school here and play sports. He also attends Harvest Baptist Church so I don't belive he would leave.

One time coming back from a away game everyone in the back is chewing. Hunter stands up and yells about the sweet smell of Kodiak that is drifting to the front of the bus.

From what I was told Patterson really did want the head job and purposely had not applied at other schools, his kids do go to wapak and his family does attend Harvest Baptist Church but he was told he would not be getting another interview. I would not be surprised to see him leaving Wapak soon I did hear that Coach Frye wants him in St. Marys as his D cordinator.

I am surprised he did not get an interview if true. Almost got to feel for the guy if he was banking on that job, but I suppose in this profession you can't really place all your eggs in one basket. To be honest though, I am sure he could one day make a good head coach I still have a little concerns on experience. Had Frye stayed a couple more years and Patterson was still the defensive coordinator during those years, I would be all in for him becoming a replacement then.

He applied and had an interview. Heard he wasn't going to move to Wapak, so the committee viewed him as a short term fix, not the long term guy they would like.

I also think it will be moyer. Kind of concerned, heard at game tonight that some of the assistant coaches might not return and earlier post stated that Patterson will probably leave. I don't care how good a coach you are you need quality asst. Coaches it takes a core group to have a good staff and team.

Got a feeling Patterson will stay....he's hungry and knows he need to study other someone besides Frye.... As far as other coaches go....they have to do what they feel is right...... But it may cost them in the end....Look at Law...

I thought Moyer backed out. My understanding is Patterson is happy here in Wapak. I guess we will find out.

Talk to a good friend in Columbus. He told me this is one of the most talked about decisions in football this year...this and Kenton. Everyone has opinions on who it will be. We need to start a poll...

I think it will be betweem Moyer and Burbacher because they both run wing T or a version of it. Burbacher's dad has been the coach at Tipp City for years running the wing T. Speller I believe runs a 5 wide system which would be fun to watch.

Thread is starting to lose a little steam so lets go another route. The names of those who applied are known so pick who you feel will get the job and why! Im going to go with a name I said many times I felt we shouldnt go due to no head coaching experience. Patterson will be the next head coach of Wapakoneta. He is well liked in the program runs the lifting program and wont bring much change.
Travis Moyer. Despite being stricting AD and not coaching the last the two years, I think he is our best fit. Runs wing T, but isn't afraid to spread it out if necessary. His 09 qb went to Kentucky, threw for over 1500 yds and 21 tds and ran for 900 more. Still a younger man (early 40's I believe) but with a lot of experience. Had 58 game regular season winning intact when he resigned. My only concern would be the competition he faced, how good was it that he won 58 straight? Heard he is a very impressive man. I think that fire to coach is burning again and he is our guy.

In regards, to our assistants leaving, I haven't heard any rumblings of this except for Patterson and that is usually just speculation that he will follow frye. In fact, a couple of the assistants I know arent hurt that frye is gone and are very excited to what the future holds. If lasts night game was any indication, the Wapak-St. Mary's rivalry will be interesting.
