Beezer it doesn't have anything with being nice, I didn't say he was nice I said the kids love him, they will work hard for him. Is he a head coach nobody knows because he has not been given a chance as a head coach and I am not saying he should be hired as the head coach. I think Insellman's record speaks for itself but he runs a west coast offense but if we are looking to hire a guy who runs the wing T offense why go outside when we have a guy already in the system. Burgbacher has a decent record but they have played in 2 very bad conferences and from earlier post maybe some character issues. I don't know much about the league that Bucyrus Wynford is in but I doubt it is very good. I think they played lcc a few years ago and got beat pretty handly in the playoffs. My point is if the hiring committee is looking for someone who runs a different offense that is fine but if we are looking to stay with the same philosophy why not stay inside. Patterson has played a big part in this team winning a lot of games these last 2 years.

The Kyle Cutler name, is that referring to the Cutler who is an assistant to his brother at Bishop Ready in Columbus? Played linebacker at BGSU and was a GA at Toledo for a year I believe?

Read up on bucyrus' Travis Moyer. Very Impressive. Him and Inselmann should be our 1 and 1a.
. I agree with this.

Patterson, Moyer, Inselmann and maybe Burbacher are my top picks I know all of the guys on the hiring commuty and two of them I know will do there best to pick the right guy. And one other will go with the majority vote.

Travis Moyer, Bill Speller, Tim Spiess, Bill Insellman, Britton Devier, Matt Brughbacher, Evan Harris, Rob Page, Jeff Palmer, Daniel Kerns, Duane Weaver, Cory Snider ,Frank Crea, Mark Law, Kyle Cutler, Henry Gehring, John McEvoy, Todd Miller, Jason Chadock, Andrew Burden, Jason Cunningham, Don Sizer, Zachary Wlliams, Robin Vida, David Pringle LukeTaviano, Raymond Giesige , Matthew Money, Chris MacKeown, Curtis Irwin, Shane Wellman, Justin Macelia, Cory Hanes, Cliff Lohrey, Derek Kidwell, Terrence Blevins, Tim Carver, Shane Patterson, Bill Sammons, Brian Wical, Seth Morris, Sean Arno, Travis Huff, Rick Sharp, Randall Thompson, Ed Cybak, Andrew Tabler, Nick Truesdale, Urban Meyer

After looking up some of these guys 2 people stick out to me as "wild cards."

Don Sizer from Batavia. Coached some really good teams and a few 10-0 teams. Batavia team went 10-0 during regular season and I believe won a playoff game last year. From what I've found about him he resigned after Batavia had not gave him a teaching job, he is a PE teacher at Western Brown.

The other name is Todd Miller. Anyone know if this is the Pine Creek coach in Colorado? If so successful coach in Colorado whose won a state championship.

Any other wild card names there that could come in and blow the socks off of the committee and get a look?

Yes. Brother just took Upper Arlington job. My guess is that he's also applied for the Jonathan Alder job.
Always a watchful eyes on those Tiffin Calvert Senecas, Marion Local Flyers, Fort Loramie Redskins , New Albany Eagles.

No surprise here. Wapak hires a coach in Doug Frye who called the Wapakoneta Redskin Football players effin **cats and on a daily basis was quoted for saying he pukes wapak. Now bring a guy in for an interview that has character issues that go as far as being faithful to his wife, along with getting in the face of the Minster Qb 3 years ago and telling him hes overated, and then last year allows his team to spit on the M at Minster.

Why would you make comments about a coach's personal life on a public message board?

I understand that Bill Inselman may be the leading candidate. If Tim Spiess does not get an interview you Wapak folks have a big problem with the process.

Tim was almost a co-coach at Liberty Center in the 90's when they won 100 games and a state championship and has been a co-coach with Vicars @ both Delta and Genoa. Been the Head Coach the last two years at Genoa and has done an excellent job. Would be around for 6 years since he has a 7th grade boy.

Wingt guy, but is way ahead of the curve on both offense and defense. How do I know? Coached against him many times. How many times did Inselman beat LC and Delta while Tim was their?

Coach Inselmann and Coach Spiess are good friends. They both taught school in Napoleon, just down the hall from each other, until Spiess went to Genoa, I believe. Inselmann still teaches at Napoleon as he never received the opportunity to teach @ PH.

As for head to head matchups between the two, I think I have worked them out. I think Spiess was at LC from 1990-2004, with Inselmann starting at PH in 1991. LC won 4 of the first 5 meetings as LC was a state powerhouse in those early years and PH was struggling. Inselmann won in '96 and '97 with LC winning the playoff rematch in what was essentially the state final game in '97. PH went through a "down" period from 99-01 with LC winning five times, including a playoff game in 2000. In the last three years they met PH won 4 times by a combined score of 147-57 (ave 37-14). PH went on to win a state title in 2005.

In Spiess' time @ LC, they made final four in 92,93,97,98,99 and 00. Runner up in 93 & 98 and champs in 98.

In Inselmann's time @ PH, they made final four in 04,05,07 and 09. Champs in 05. From 04-12, PH played in regional final game 7 of the 9 years (not in 06 or 10). In the streak of 11 straight years in playoffs (2002-2012), PH lost first game in only two years (02 versus DSJ and 06 versus Fairview where they lost 52-49 to Ryan Radcliff). In 04 and 07 they lost to state champ, in 08 & 09 they lost to Liberty Benton and Coldwater who were both beaten by Ursuline in the finals.

So it is really hard to compare against each other as LC was a power when PH was down and coach Spiess left LC right when PH was becoming a power. From 1996-2004, Inselmann was 6-5 against LC, winning the first 2 and the last 4.

Several, very interesting stats. I knew they both taught at Napoleon until Spiess went to Genoa. Someone just told me that Speiss has coached a team that was won 10 or more games in a year 22 times. That is unreal.

Tim was primarily a defensive coordinator during his career and LC was never the same after he left there. Both Tim and Bill would be excellent choices for Wapak.
