How are the numbers at L C C ? I saw the jv play against Delphos Jefferson this year and DJ had at least 20 boys on the side line besides the eleven on the field and L C C only had 2 players on the sideline. Also heard St. Gerard s only has 1 eighth grade boy enrolled this year.

What does an 8th grader at St Gerard have to do with LCC varsity sports :)

Thanks for the smiley face. Sarcasm is not always readily apparent in the written word.
At first glance, I thought, "He's an idiot." lol

Its not what they have, but what they will get. If no coach is named soon, some of the boys might be backing out of their verbal commitments??

I have heard that Palte may be taking his Head Coaching talents somewhere other than S. Cable Rd. over the past few days. Will be interested to see if any truth to this. From what I am hearing, we may hear something about this by the end of the week.

If Palte de-commits will one of the other asst. coaches apply?

How about that Fell fella over at LSH?
I guess the timeline really isn't all that important now..

Now hearing word out of both Leipsic and LCC sources that lead me to believe Palte will be named the new head football coach at LCC.

I know he was in the running at Leipsic but heard today he pulled himself out of consideration for the Vikings position, which would lead me to think something must have happened at LCC in his favor.

I asked a few people at LCC and they all seemed to think Palte had originally not been too pleased with the offer he was receiving from the school. However, with him pulling out at Leipsic, I think LCC, Palte, and Shawnee were able to iron something out to bring the "coach in waiting" to S. Cable Rd.

Hearing that there is still some "Ironing" needed. Not a done deal

some I've talked to at LCC expect them to have a pretty good team next year, dropping to a mediocre team in 2 years, then possibly back to the pre-Cooper teams after that.(15-35) 5 years prior to Coop coming in..Interested to see this play out.

Maybe that's the reason Palte isn't on-board as of yet?

All this conjecture and speculation makes me ever more thankful for the stability we have at Coldwater.

Nardini must be going nuts, having the CC'ers telling him what he needs to do in HIS school district.....

Nardini is retired. I think it is Perry's old superintendent Lamb that is there now.

Honestly, that's a fairly good assessment, IMO.

The question was about numbers for football...if there are low numbers in the elementary grades that means low numbers coming into high school...that's what it pertains to !!!!
