Quite the weekend in Convoy this weekend, weather-permitting, as I believe both LCC & Arlington
will travel to Convoy as undefeateds to take on the second-ranked Knights, so something has to give this weekend

LCC may be the most loaded team in all of NW/West Central Ohio and should compete for a state final birth...anything less would be a big flop IMO

I can't see my Knight competing with LCC, they are the most loaded team in the STATE.

Arlington should be a different story. Knights by 8 pts.

What a weekend, should be fun to watch!!!

I think there are a few teams in the state that have more talented players than LCC (see Cleveland VASJ) :nerd:

At home, I'm thinking Crestview may pull off the upset over LCC Friday night, and then win big over Arlington. Bold pick, but Crestview will play out of their heads against LCC, especially since it is a non-conference matchup this year.

Crestview will play within 15 of LCC but cant see them winning that one. I'd be surprised if Arlington is within 20 of cview sat. Last year same thing happened at Arlington (undefeated) at home and crestview handled them easily.

I'm not quite ready to say that coach kill's resume needs this win.... But when an NFL owner spends big money on free agency.... They expect a return on their investment.... So far this investment is like betting on the penny stocks.

Rocketman Rocketman Rocketman--How many state titles does LCC have the last 30 years?

LCC has a really good team but they have to do 2 things to successful--Pressure the ball everywhere and get into transtition. Convoy did a great job in the 2nd half slowing LCC's transition. But until LCC players committ to playing defense for complete possesions and not just 5 seconds they are not going to be a great team. They have to play harder on defense and have better composure when things are not going their way. Their 2 weaknesses are shooting and post D/O. You take Simpson and Kimbrough off the court last night I dont know if LCC could of scored 20. I know these 7 are better then that but last night these 2 got no support.

They couldnt match up with Helm last night and he took advantage of this. If you want to beat Convoy you have to stop Helm. Easier said then done. Etzler kid played his best game I have seen. He was under control, made his teammates better, ran the offense, was a leader on the floor and played great defense. When he does this they are about impossible to beat. When he is their 1st/2nd option on offense then you can beat them.

Do they have the talent to get to state?? yes but to read what you guys are writing Kill should only have to roll the ball out and stay out of the way and they have a trip to Columbus. They are good but they cant just show up and expect to go to state.

wow!
Crestview looked good. Congrats to the Knights on a great victory over LCC.

Crestview, when playing to their potential, has a good shot at a state final four. LCC is good and will be just fine. No worries for them.
Crestview has to remain focused tonight and beat a good Arlington team. they could let the emotion of this win bring them down tonight.

I was at the game last night and Crestview is no doubt an excellent team. They beat LCC fair and square. They kept driving the ball and LCC didnt know how to handle them. HOWEVER, the officiating last night was absolutely disgusting. 3 T's, one of them a double?, 3 LCC players fouled out, FOUR charge calls???? BOTH coaches screaming at them. Forgetting that the foul was a two shot free throw instead a one, then forgetting to put time back on the clock? They barely kept it together. Like I said I think LCC would have lost anyway, but those ref's surely didnt help IMO.

Great game for my Knights!!!, Could be a big weekend!!

LCC has found the talent, but forgot the second piece of the puzzle in order to have a championship team.

Way too much yelling at the refs. for him to be a successful coach. Borderline embarrassing!!

If you were there, did you look at the other side of the scorers table? How did you not see Crestviews coach chewing them out as well?! Those ref's were terrible on both sides. Kill is no saint, I will give you that, but both coaches were yelling and screaming. Those ref's were borderline horrific at best.

Rolling the ball out and staying out of the way may be their best shot at getting to Columbus :shrug2:
