Yeah it has died out very quickly. I guess I could start getting everyone riled up again like the olden days.

Good point Landess.....posters like you and Captain were mainstays a few short years ago, but seldom heard from anymore......also, the Huddle is even worse in comparison to its earlier years!!!!!

Our rankings will be up shortly.....I am thinking this weekend!!!!

I am also sure that next season Rocketman and Flounder will put out our rankings in a much more timely manner.....we were both extremely busy this past season in other matters that were more important than our rankings......I apologize for the lack of a weekly product..........I still feel that our research over the season and prior to the season still produced a good product!!!!!!!

For the 13th consecutive year the
"Flounder & Rocketman's" Girls HS Rankings return.....by my recollection this is the longest-running
collaboration going when doing a state-wide ranking of girl's teams.....well, 2nd longest if you care to count the
AP :bag: version that appears sometimes in January.......Flounder and I have been following this game a
long time and we are considered the pre-eminent source in the entire state of Ohio....... there might be others who
might want to lay claim to this, but our loyal followers
KNOW the truth.........today marks our return to the hardwood and we will be bringing you the best rankings with
our great insight and input that has set us apart for all these years..............I'm sure that Flound will be along
later tonight or possibly tomorrow after his wife and daughter have left for the day shopping........ we also know
that a few others have had their rankings out for a week or so, so technically we aren't the
first rankings of the year to make the news.........but one
thing I do KNOW..........we have the best rankings and again at the end of the year when you page back through all the
forums you'll find that for the 13th consecutive year that the "Flounder & Rocketman's" Rankings will again top the
list.........WE KNOW GIRLS BASKETBALL!......RM We start this off in Division I where the reigning state champs are comfortably perched at the top.......the Firebirds bring back a lot of firepower and it will take some kind of team to dethrone them this year........Cincy Princeton has been one of the darlings the last few years and maybe
this is their year...........in Division II it looks like it will take a while for Hathaway Brown to jell, so for now I've kept them out of the rankings and one of the few times that I can ever remember that a defending champion isn't in our rankings..........Clyde, W. Holmes, Alter, and Rogers will be the
heavyweights in this division and Alter has gotten it done in the past......
In Division III the girls from Africentric have their sights set on a championship.........it certainly won't be a cakewalk but they look like as big a favorite as I can find in the 4 divisions........and finally in D4, and one in which Flounder and I annually excel it looks like a 3 or 4 horse race right now.........Fort Loramie, Convoy Crestview, Marion Local, New Knoxville, and Minster from our portion of the state will be very formidable...
Lake Ridge Academy is a team that has been off the charts for awhile as they ran into a slight problem with the OHSAA but look to be out for revenge this season.......never count out Berlin Hiland and last year Newark Catholic had a very nice run..........so get your "lap bands" cinched up for the ride that is to come.........
and when all the dust has settled come the middle of March, just remember where you heard it from...........thanks RM

Flound,
Another great season of girls basketball and I am also very sorry to all of our loyal fans over the
years.....As you can see by our first rankings though, we pretty well had this year "stamped" out
well in advance.....folks, this does not come without getting out in the summer and talking to
people.....I challenge you to check any of the other rankings that were put out before the season
started and compare them to ours....."WE KNOW GIRLS BASKETBALL"....no ifs, ands, or buts about it!!

I know that our rankings were sporadic at best and something that I'm not proud of.....but since
this isn't our "day job" both of us still have to support our families.....look forward to seeing
everyone again this year down in Columbus, and if we happen to cross paths, make sure you stop and
say hello......thanks RM

5 of my 6 picks before the tourney in the three smallest divisions made it to the championship game and 3 others got knocked out in the semifinals. 2 had to lose because they were playing against the 2 other teams I picked. Pretty good, didn't have a pool at 40 teams to pull from. Hoping for 4 very entertaining games. Really looking forward to the D3 and D2 games the most. I know Ohio girls high school basketball pretty well for somebody living over a thousand miles away :-)

yeah, pretty good :-) but that's a top 10 for you think will be the best teams which you did well at. But that's a little different when some of your top 10 teams get to state and a good percentage of teams I picked to get to state before the tournament got there, if one of my teams loses I don't have 6 other teams to pick from in each division to get there. Both good in their own way. But like 4 years ago when I was leading the Lima News national standings going into Elite 8 with every one of my Elite 8 teams making it there but then having all of my final four teams losing the regional final my state title picks all lost today. Oh well. Felt really good about Versailles but they just dug themselves too big of a hole early and never could get back in it. The teams with star players won out today.

Rocketman........

Holy crap my polling buddy........I think maybe we really do Know Girls Basketball.....on further review of my preseason poll...remember now...these polls hit the press long before the AP people were even thinking about girls hoops.......I faired fairly well also in predicting who would be in the finals of each division.....

D1........my # 2 vs my #7
D2........my # 1 vs my #2
D3........my # 1 vs my #2
D4........my # 5 vs my #10

I sure hope kaizen and Landess see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another standout season by Rocketman and Flounder!!!!!!

Hope everyone enjoyed the polls....we will be back again next season with a bit more regularity!!!!!

Gonna be tough this year. and a couple regions seem to be really loaded, especially the region Ohio State is in. Was in an accident at work yesterday I'm not going to have this much time to work on my bracket as I usually do. But good luck on yours. And remember some contest like ESPN let you fill out multiple brackets so change them up a little. Had 3/10 brackets in ESPN contest finish in the top ten percent, but that's like tied 10000000
