If the assumptions are true where does Wapak go next for a coach. I have to believe Frye has shown with the right coach Wapak has the talent to be very good. Think Goodwin or Schultze would be up for a new challenge.

I don't see Goodwin or Schulte leaving anytime soon. Schulte is the AD at DSJ too.

Like I said earlier the Admin. at Wapak I dont trust to make a good decision. Coach Frye was a no brainer.

I thought the AD's and principals of SM and Wapak all went snipe hunting with Frye during gun season last week.

Goodwin isn't going anywhere....he just built a house in Maria Stein, is principal and coach of a 3-peat state champion

I still don't see Frye coming back to St. Marys and having 2 positions there for his sons. Your looking at a guy who has talked about retiring several times St. Marys needs a coach to rebuild the program someone to be there for awhile. Also Frye wants to turn the program over to his son cant see St. Marys agreeing to all that. Im going 60% staying at Wapak 40% to St. Marys.

Unless the wells go completely dry (like enrollment drops by 75% kinda dry) those guys are lifers where they are.

I still have the gut feeling he is St. Marys bound. He coaches there gets things going in the right direction and then turns it over to the boys. It just makes more sense to me. Never underestimate the pride people have about the place where they gave their heart and soul to a program. A place where they are known in the community as the great running backs. Plus if they stay at Wapak there is no guarantee that Bo or Koby will be hired to take over after Doug steps down. I think they get that at St. Marys. I am just giving my opinion. I have no insider info its just what makes sense to me.

I am being told it is a done deal and Frye will be back at St. Marys next year. He is meeting with them tomorrow night and an announcement should come in the next few days. So who will be the next Coach at Wapakoneta?

If I was on Wapak's football team I would be upset, the coach that got the program back on track is leaving. It will be a couple if years before St. Mary's is back on track I think.

I think RM is right on this one, I have talked to School Board members as well as assistant coaches and they all know that meetings have taken place and they feel he is definately headed back to St. Marys. So looks like Wapak will have a new Coach next year and lets just hope they continue to build on what Coach Frye has built.

I'm confirming as well Frye to St. MARYS. I have obtained enough info that I would be very very shocked if he wasn't headed back down st. rt. 33 to the Riders!

Not one of those coping centers like they have on Amish Mafia. Pretty sad when a coach will leave a program on the rise for one that is at rock bottom. Do they hire a coach with Frye's offense which was successful at Wapak or the best coach out there. I feel Huffman could thrive in a pass first offense.

I have heard Coach Patterson who has worked with Coach Frye at St. marys for a number of years and now is the Def. Cordinator for Coach Frye at Wapakoneta would be interested and would apply for the head coaching position if Coach Frye does indeed go to St. Marys.

Im still not in 100% that he has the St. Marys job. Im probably wrong but I know one of the names that wanted the job and the influence he has. Plus 2 jobs given to his kids when there are none after talking to a teacher in the system. Plus not sure if Gus is on board with this.lol

Patterson not a option we need a Coach that has proven himself as a Head coach. We need someone like a Kevin Fell or Doug Frye who has EXPERIENCE. I don't have anything against Patterson so don't get going on that.
