This should be put up everywhere in the locker room in the weight room for the kids to read everytime they set foot in there. Hope this makes our kids work even harder. Wapak owes these kids a top notch coach to show Frye leaving Wapak was the worst decision he ever made in coaching.

Beezer - I told you a long time ago about Frye and how he was

You slammed me pretty good for that ... just a reminder

Let's remember the real media can Not put anything out there until there is confirmation. Message boards can and do operate differently.

It looks like the Wapak players didn't see this coming a lot of them sounded very mad. I don't blame them he stabbed them in the back like he did it to St Marys earlier.
Frye didn't stab anyone in the back. He was pushed out of st. marys by the board and super. And after reading an article on it, when Frye was hired he told Wapak he could give them 3-5 years anything after is up in the air. He gave them 4 years.

Little Jack Horner said n today's Lima news that Coach Frye was upfront about the entire situation... According to most of the wapak posters on here that is not true.....

He might of talked to Little Jack Horner but from talking to players and assistant coaches he never said anything to them during this thing and from talking to BOE members they got most of their information from St. Mary's Administrator's not from Coach Frye.

I have a friend who was on the committee who hired him, and he they were told he would stay around 10 years and it would be his last gig.

Frye will be approved at the Wednesday board meeting.

He will struggle for a few years at St. Marys but in year 3 he will have them in the playoffs. Chalk it up, mark it down.

Wapak will have a few more years of good football then they will start to fall off. Its been a pattern everywhere Frye has been. Why would it change now. Good luck finding a coach Wapak and congrats to St. Marys for getting a good one.

The name going around also is a member of the staff which doesn't excite me. For some reason Mauk intrigues me. Cant see Wapak staying with the wing and fling now. Patterson never impressed me his defenses never won big games.

Doug will be the head man at st Mary's for 3-4 years max until he passes it down to Bo. In 2-3 years he will have st Mary's back to the top tier of the WBL and Bo will take over and hold the ship steady. No rebuilding or remodeling all Bo will have to do is steer the ship from where Doug will leave it. Nice set up for Doug and his son(s). Koby will be a coordinator just don't know what side of the ball.

I'm pretty sure that is a lot more to it when he left St Mary's I think he knew the well was getting dry so wanted to go.

Slow down buddy, he just left a school with more talent than what St. Mary's has to offer, and with the way football is played now and in that region his style hasn't really been far to impressive in the playoffs at Wapak.

Here is a link from the St. Marys evening leader. http://www.theevenin...return-st-marys
"Wapakoneta Superintendent Keith Horner knew this day was coming soon, as Frye said when hired for the position he could give 3-5 years to the program." Sounds to me like he told them up front. If the Superintendent knew, than you guys can't complain.

Just got off the telewire with a SM BOE member...they are talking a SWEET deal for their next "coach in waiting". Teaching and coaching contracts for ALL the Frye's. I asked if they weren't in a financial predicament at SM? They are but they haved moved some money around to make this work......also a pay increase for Coach Frye....AND that one of them will succeed when he retires in a few years.....RM

Rocketman I respect you...but if your source is a BOE member at SM, he is a bad one. No board member should be giving out any information before it's publicly announced at a meeting. Also I highly doubt that he will receive a raise since that is normally negotiated by the union.

The former super riepenhoff tore that district apart, and ran frye out. He goes over to wapak who has all the resources he wanted and turns around a program and gets a little vengeance. He told wapak up front he has 3-5 years. He gave them 4 and now that Riep is gone and he can set up his sons with teaching job and hand them a program after he gets them afloat, how can you blame him.

Agree with the last part completely...not sure what the exact setup is but I think anyone would do it for family. Cannot blame him at all.

Wapak fans...you loved him a month ago and now he is a hated liar. I think he brought a lot of respectability to your program and gave you four really good years. You have the best facilities in the WBL and have an outstanding community, no doubt any coach would love to be at Wapak. I have a lot of confidence that you will get another quality coach.

Warren G., we have a different view on whether a BOE member should be talking.......this is how America has worked for the last 100 years or more.........they used to call them "un-named sources"......

Doesn't matter if Frye is in the union or not...all supplemental contracts must be negotiated by the union and approved by the supt. and school board. Don't get me started on unions!

Now...if they are hiring him for an "administrative" position...that does not have to be negotiated by the union :pickles: . ..but it also has nothing to do with football.

Regulators...mount up!
