For PM, move your mouse over persons name ou want to PM and click on it. That posters page will pop up. Just go to "Send Message" and type away. If/when you receive a reply, you will see a red number icon at top right of page my your user name. Click it to open....hope this helps Also I think you need so many posts to be able to use PM's here. A mod will have to answer on how many posts you need to utilize PM

A hearty welcome to the RC, foamcity!! :) it's great to have you with us!! (and thank you, adoggie!)

As for PMing, foamcity, (beyond adoggie's "most excellent" instructions! <~~as Wayne and Garth would say! :D ) you must 1st have an accumulated post total of 10 (anti-spamming precaution).
To achieve this quickly, please do the following steps:

In any thread, make a post of any random word or series of "....."
> immediately after it posts, delete it by clicking the fourth option in from the right (delete), located in your post box.
> I also believe it asks you to confirm you'd like to delete; confirm.
Your post should now be gone.
Continue to repeat this series of steps until you have a acquired a total of 10 posts under your "profile summary" ( located to the left of the screen), directly under your username.

Hopefully you won't, but, if you happen to have any issues, let me know here and I'll try again! Lol

Happy posting and PMing!! :D

This is going to be fun to watch and read. At the end of the day it all starts and ends with leadership!

youre right on bg...get people in at c-r that are sports minded. its real simple "heres where we have been, heres where we are, and this is where we want to get to" its called vision. c-r has no vision. its all about managing. hell anyone can manage. we have tradition, we have the facilities, get the pride back and get people excited about making a positive difference. I did contact boe and administration and asked them the last time we beat bluffton and arlington in football and no one could give me an answer. its plain an simple no one in charge wants athletics to be important.

I've seen the soccer team play, there may be one player that could help the football team.

Cant disagree with much of the above so far.

....Other than.... the soccer team on the football field... that one didn't happen.
and ... coaches can only coach those willing to come out and stay out.

We do have, IMO, a very good younger person that is running for BOE this fall. I hope he will help be the start of the turnaround

But truthfully ....until the current principle leaves nothing will change
The biggest change will be to fire Dave Siferd. He remains from the Spike Berry era. Him Bob Abbey mate. That is pretty messed up if you would ask me.

He's no good and needs to be gone for good. He is nothing but dead wood that has drifted into this school and through the football team.

People want to blame the kids or the administration but the fault also lies with the parents and the community (including alumni). Kids are lazy because parents let them be lazy. Administrations don't change anything because parents and the community let them carry on. If you don't like what is going on in your community or school, offer to help. Be a part of the solution and not just complain. Help with or establish the midget league or offer to scout. The area teams that do well seem to have more supportive communities and parents. I am not sure how much the administration is involved. They want to be left alone.

Personally, I'm not going to be that harsh on anybody. It's high school football...let's not make it out like the end of the world...jesus. Some people approach this topic like it's a political debt ceiling debate in Washington. If the team is successful or not successful, the idea is to support the student athletes out on the field. I remember the 2005 year DJ went 0-10 for the first losing season at DJ since 1977 I believe....I still attended every game and supported them every game. I didn't walk around town with a bottle of beer in one hand and a rifle in the other looking for people to "get rid of" because of it.

It's one thing to be critical...It's entirely different to be inflammatory, condescending, and bashing in a topic of "debate".

1- How do you know we haven't done that?
And 2
Aren't you posting on a blog board under a screen name??
Pot - Kettle!!
1. It would've been reported publicly if a group of people attended a board meeting demanding changes to the football program. Too big of a thing to "not notice."
2. I'm not talking about using a screen name. It's about the calling out of other people's jobs, which check my past, I don't do. I've actually made the same stance against this on other threads. Good try on deflecting blame.

Yet you fail to see that they are board of EDUCATION members... not board of football team members. I'm sure they take all of your questions about the last time they beat certain teams to heart and had a long heart to heart with each other about it.

big brown bag. I was illustrating the disconnect and the waning culture that is now evident at c-r. If that question was asked 15-25 years ago, everyone would have known.

Seriously, thanks though!

You're completely right. You're style of online debate and discussion is something I've never seen before and has forced me to open my eyes to your side of the story. Keep up the good work of quite possibly becoming the most respected member on Rocketcorner, and it only took you 5 posts to do so!
